It's nice that you got confirmation of your good work this month from elsewhere.

Did I read the walk challenge right - you managed 5 miles today anyway?

Yes Kerry :) I filed it under 'If there's a will, there's a way' today. Sometimes we have to ignore weather as a reason to slack off - at least in my mind.

Hmmmm...diabetes? Sorry I never read your diary thoroughly, it takes a while to go through pages, even with Comcast, but is your diabetes Type II? Are you getting disability? What it is?

I lost 8 lbs. since last weigh-in. I'm not surprised. Last month's bad news really made me re-evaluate the leaks in my diet and I've worked fairly hard to get back on track. I expected a loss very close to this number because I can actually feel it. I'm just one of those people who 'knows' when I'm doing good or not. With the recent wave of brilliant weight loss pics on here I've been tempted to jump the gun and do new pics but I'm gonna play this to the bone.
wooo! I know how that works! Ive been tightening up on my 'leaks' as well. Like counting the toast but not counting the jam on it (its only 20-30 calories .. whats it gonna matter .... about 300-500calories extra day!).
I cant wait for your onderland pics! its gonna be AWESOME!
Thumbs up though for the hospital visit - thats karma coming back on you for helping the neighbour out ... or it could just be you working your ass off :D:D

I'm probably more excited about my current weight than I show in here.

Two 'leaks' I did fix was: More fruit, and time of day eating. I did banish all crackers and seriously slacked off the beers. I did have a sloppy Feb. and March in my own opinion, not major, just disappointing. When the weather breaks, I'm gonna pwm Onederland.

My 'leaks' were not counting odds and ends that were small fri calories but added up, and also not eating enough fruit and veg (as usual) which is partially why i wanted to do that SH diet.

BTW those cats in your sig are soo darned distracting when trying to reply, i keep loosing where im up to :O

Congratulations on the 8 lbs!!! Awesome!!!!! I have to agree that Feb and March were tough. My leaks were not walking consistently, which I'm correcting. Not doing my weights workout, which I still haven't gotten back on track...and not drinking enough water!!! Not to mention allowing some "no-no" food slipping into the picture. Happily, not much damage though!! Loved reading that the hospital personnel did double takes when they saw you!! You have certainly turned things around in your life!!

Well thank god for MSN 'not working in your area' today :p instead of sitting here bs'ing, I broke in my jump rope with 100 skips followed by a 7 miler - and just in time too, it started pouring down rain when I got home.

The sad thing is the weather from now till next week is really busto

Oh beckster, I'll bet you get the "Is that really you ??" (more or less) too. You really look sooooo much different :) Thanks for sharing the affects of winter also. I know we're gonna be alright now with better weather ahead :)

Ahhh...who needs weather when you have a rope!?
;)

No, not for hangings!
How did the 100 skips go? Should I get one?

Well, I hope you got your T2 under control! Too bad about the weather--spoiled, spoiled me out here in the sunshine--it's been the warmest, driest winter in 4 years out here! Nice with the jump rope!

ooooh Debi, I'm feelin' it !! Yeeeesh !! 'burn baby burn' is playing in my head  What a brilliant little workout device for soooooo little money !! I did 4 sets of 25 and worked up more sweat than I did on a 7 mile walk !! My legs are on fire !! not to mention superior cardio :)

By all means Debi, add this to your regiment, you'll love it !!

Yeppers CG, my diabetes numbers are really in tremendous shape right now. I don't expect anyone to re-read my diary but I do talk about my diabetes and the good effects of my WL fairly often.

One horn I've been known to toot on here is wanting to see young people whipping their obesity now before they end up like I did, it's a nasty disease that will totally pwn you and fixing the problem will only get harder later in life.

Yeah you have every right to brag about your weather - just not in my diary :( (j/k).

WoW...I dont know if I can jump rope or not...I may have to give it a shot. I do have one...i think:confused: Congrats on the 8 pounds! AWSOME! :D

I felt (and probably looked) like a carp on a river bank flopping about - it wasn't pretty sleepy, trust me :D

and Thank you for the attaboy ;)

Oh I brag about CA in this diary all the time.

He can't kick me out ;)

Yeah, you have the 'power' but I can still kick :p What's the saying about guys that 'brag' ??
