Well thank god for MSN 'not working in your area' todayinstead of sitting here bs'ing, I broke in my jump rope with 100 skips followed by a 7 miler - and just in time too, it started pouring down rain when I got home.
The sad thing is the weather from now till next week is really busto![]()
...
It's fabulous to hear that the rope is making you sweat already.ooooh Debi, I'm feelin' it !! Yeeeesh !! 'burn baby burn' is playing in my headWhat a brilliant little workout device for soooooo little money !! I did 4 sets of 25 and worked up more sweat than I did on a 7 mile walk !! My legs are on fire !! not to mention superior cardio

One horn I've been known to toot on here is wanting to see young people whipping their obesity now before they end up like I did, it's a nasty disease that will totally pwn you and fixing the problem will only get harder later in life.
Congrats on the eight pounds. Gotta go, my date's here!
I'm a fixture in this diary.
Hi ya Randy! *giving you a high-five on the 8 pound loss* YES!!!! Way to go! It's so cool when people notice the difference, isn't it? Talk about motivation to stay on track!
Hope you are finding your way in your "my next career" journey...both exciting and challenging...school is not a bad way of trying some areas of interest out either...that is how I found my way into law...I took a college criminology class and I was hooked!
Stupid cold weather....I'm sorry...it's an icky day here too...supposed to uglier. (well ugly for So Cal)
You are an inspiration, there is no doubt about that.
Hey Randy--8 pounds is amazing. I think my leaks are too many just plain bad meals and not enough fruits and veggies.
It's fabulous to hear that the rope is making you sweat already.
I hope that the really busto weather you are expecting till next week, turns out to be the same kind of impossible you managed to find the cracks in and beat up on today and yesterday.
If not, I guess the rope will still be there - remember to replace the lost fluid!
Congrats on the eight pounds. Gotta go, my date's here!
*cheers*
Way to go Randy! 8 pounds is fantastic!
Can I come to your Onederland party?![]()
Huh? Wha..? Is that happychubette holding out on us? I'm gone for 2 days and she's got a date.He better treat her right!
How are you T2? 8 pounds of buttah gone forevah!!
Just thought I'd drop by and say that I love your signature picture. I've seen you post on several other peoples diaries and laugh every time I see it.
And grats on your success!
Thank you Beth. I'm fighting insanity (going back to driving) and the tick tock of the clock (age I'll be at completing school). It would be fun to screw around for 2 more years but not very profitable. I do like the challenge aspect of school though, it does keep me leaning that way.
I wish I was this centered 30 years ago, I wouldn't even have this decision.
Hey T2congratulations for 8 lbs lost, and thank you so much for being so supportive.
It only hit me few months ago that i am at risk of getting T2 diebetes. Somehow i just removed all the health risks as if they can't happen to me. But then i realized, my mom has heart problems, i don't want that. so the health thing really started to become a big factor in my losing weight. i wanna be healthy.
oh and i love your signature pic. its really funny hehe
a big hug to ya
Lena
Look at you getting closer and closer to your goal! Nice work, buddy. And here's another "aye" vote on the signature pic. It kills me.
Oh, and I HAVE been meaning to mention this - the signature kitties CRACK me up!
shoulda, woulda, coulda...huh? I can relate...what is it they say...hindsight is 20/20.
*stepping up on my soapbox*
I don't recall how old you are, but I am 50 and I look at my parents who are almost 73 and they are really young (at heart and body). My dad plays tennis 3 times a week) and participates in tournaments and senior olympics. My mom walks on her treadmill 30 minutes a day and is a busy, active person...hehe, I have a photo of her going down the slide off the houseboat we rented a few summers back! Talk about young at heart! Right in the mix with her grandkids!![]()
So, my point is....for me, their age is 23 years away....and 23 years ago, I was 27...so I figure I should be able to do at least as much in the next 23 years with my life as I did in the last (well except for having four kids...that's not happening again! LOL)...and I will still be as old when I get there...but what will I have to show for it? Go for it!
*jumping off the soapbox and kicking it to the curb*
I've also heard that learning new stuff is supposed to help our brain as we get older...so there's another plus!My brain can use all the help it can get....

ooooo don't smash the soapbox !! they make great album storage bins![]()
