I dread that winter looms around the bend here. Sometimes we get lucky and have mild winters but not too often. I often think about moving to South Carolina or Alabama. I've really lost my love for cold weather in my old age 3 miles in - ?? to go, we'll see if I get a second walk in later *shrugs*

Thanks Jen. Actually I'm somewhere in between lost and found The forum turned out to be a lot of fun and this is what I enjoy - just having fun. You all have made losing weight a much better experience.
I'm super happy your dad is joining you at the hip on your way to losing weight, you're a lucky daughter to an obviously caring father. I hope you two relish this experience. I would take back 100 pounds tomorrow to have my daughter centered like you are.

Aww. Thank you. I am very lucky to have such caring parents. I thank God for them both everyday. My father is one of the strongest people I know. He's my hero. I want him to be happy and healthy. This experience will definitely be wonderful for the both of us. Now- if we can just get my mom to jump on the bandwagon, we'll be all set.

I don't think a parent can receive a higher honor than that. God could take me tomorrow if my daughter said that to me, my life would be complete.
She's fighting the good fight. Time is on her side - and her parents love.
I can't lie, I was on fire with the bike for a short burst but we hit such a beautiful run of weather here, I've been walking in record distances while I can. Today was my shortest day in awhile - 3 miles walking. I still don't have much passion for the bike, kinda like a last resort thing.
