The fort blew away.
Make life count.
awwww Randy you are a GOOD daddy. I'm glad you and your wife can do whats best for your daughter and that she was willing to go to treatment. She is so lucky that the hospital didn't call the police and have her dry out in jail. That would have been the worst. I'm glad she's getting the best.
What a roller coaster, and I thought my day was long and bad. it pales in comparison. Get some sleep Randy, you need it.
she told me she had a heart attack (major wtf here) and was released and sent home a couple hours later and it red-flagged me as suspicious in nature and there were underlying issues here.
Wow! You are an awe in spiring person. I hope this treatment will help your daughter. I have a cousin that got bad like that a nd he refuses to do anything about it. So I'm glad she's trying. I hope despite everything you have a great weekend. And congrats on not blowing it because of stress!!![]()
T, I've lived with a heart condition for a majority of my adult life and if you go in with chest pain evetually you will get pain killers if they can't find anything else wrong with you...its kinda a pacifier and the docs have only their selves to blame for so liberally distributing pain meds to every tom dick and harry that walks through their doors. Although, there are much cheaper ways to obtain pain meds. She may have gone to the doc thinking she was having a heart attack due to other drugs she was consuming such as cocaine, methamphetamine or speed. Those will all cause rapid and irregular heart beat and chest pain. The thing is, when somebody gets to that point the trip to the er is really a cry for help...good thing they called you. especially when she's freaking out like you discribed I would suspect meth.
whether you knew about her drug issues or not, she is the only one that can get better and kick the habit and you cannot blame yourself for her addictions (even if she blames you). It is 100% true that an addict can go to treatment but won't get better unless they want to. Its all in their ball court buddy. So stop blaming yourself, your obesity and your divorce on her drug use. And another thing. An addiction is not the end of the world. death is the end and she's going to try to do something about this. You just need to be there to support her on her efforts to get better, get clean and get healthy...and I think your the perfect role model for that.
Thanks for the welcome back T2.
Hi Toots! Just wanted to check in on you real quick. Hope your daughter is doing better - good luck to her. Such a long road ahead of her. She's lucky to have such a great set of parents who can work together to help her get well.
You are a good dad!!
Heya's T2,
Awwww I am so sorry to hear about your daughter!![]()
I hope she gets the help she needs! You were an awesome dad you
did the right thing and didn't blow up congrats! I hung out with
the wrong crowd as a teenager and it took alot to turn my life around
and looking back now I can't belive the stuff I did and I pray my kids
don't grow up and choose that path! It's pretty scary not knowing
what lies ahead, I guess just teach them the best you can be a good
listener as well! I hope things get better have a good night, Tammy![]()
