I completely understand Peq. I have no excuse, yet I have all the excuses. It's just one of those things. Like anything else in America, it's just so damn hard to afford the proper coverage and find time to go and blah blah blah..

For me, I have to take full advantage of this wonderful opportunity while it's available. I have no way to dig deep on my own right now to pony up the cost of this project.

I imagine we all have a bad dentist story lodged in our brain somewhere. I really hated going forever - till now.
 
Yeah - all the excuses and none. I just got off the phone with the insurance people and I will have a list of people by Tuesday. As soon as I get it I will make the appointment... will you come hold my hand while they're poking at me? ;):D
 
If your dentist is like mine, I'll have plenty of time for travel arrangements, over 2 months wait for an appointment. I'm on the cancellation list to speed up the process - that's how I got in today. My doctor is even worse, non-emergency appts. are about 3 months now.

Almost every med professional in our area has "No New Patients" posted on their doors - talk about monopoly....
 
I believe I am the only person in the world who enjoys the dentist. But my dentist and hygenist are the best. When I see their number pop up on caller ID I get excited...yeah! time for another cleaning! I have a partial crown scheduled for Nov. for the last year I've been replacing all my metal mouth fillings with the porceline tooth colored stuff so it looks like I have a pristine mouth, this crown will replace the last bit of metal in my mouth.

I hope your mouth gets sensation back soon Randy!

Obviously, I'm the wrong guy to talk about restorative services to in terms of experience - my bad :(

I'll share this lil story my sister endured. She went years with low energy, to the point of chronic, spent literally 10's of thousands of dollars seeking an explanation and cure. She saw a 'quack quack' here and a 'quack quack' there with endless results of nothing to back up her problem, neuro this, psycho that, and on and on...

nothing

then...

A routine dental xray found some weird happenings in her jaw structure. She literally had dozens of metal splinters embedded in her jaw.

In short, she had many root canals and the dentist broke off drill bit after drill bit doing the work and left all the pieces in her jaw. A surgeon in Philadelphia gave her the skinny on how this was a toxic situation and convinced her if he removed all the metal she would get her energy back.

Lo and behold, it worked and was the cure to her low energy problem.

Go figure.
 
No, she worked for this dentist for like 6 years or something and got her work done for next to nothing. (which ended up costing plenty)

She was too relieved to pursue any legal recourse. He was a flaming drunkard and has since passed on to the dental chair in the sky.

Ugh, walk time - only 43 degrees here right now and only a good hour or so of sun up so I better get out there and get humpin', I took yesterday off to study before class. Ooops.
 
Ohhh Randy - No laughing at you here - I really don't want to admit how long it's been since I've had a cleaning.

No...I'm just not going to admit it ;)

When those snow flakes hit me in the face on my walk, trust me, I forgot all about my sore mouth :p

Well at least you have me to take the brunt of the embarrassment on WL - this is what I do :eek: No one has to admit anything with me around, just wait for me to go first - it's the trend lolol.
 
I teach my little Kindergartners a song called "Brush your teeth" and it had a fun little chorus where the kids pretend to brush their teeth and make ch ch ch sounds. It's funny as heck! :)

(just thought I'd contribute to the dental fun!)
