HaHa - such evil people on here !!

shame shame shame.

What happened to the weight loss agenda on here ??? well to keep consistent with that agenda, I did get my exercise for the day already ;)

Thx Mana, and we did have a great time !!

Avoiding the muchies didn't come easy and no doubt I had to have some fair food but I did go for damage control.

Sick choice here: well I love a gyro as much as the next person and its a consistent annual for me, soooooooo I tried to just eat one with no sauce or pita - just plain ol lamb meat - *gags* - what a mistake. I didn't realize how shitty a gyro was without all its components. I bailed halfway thru it.

Duh choice: My long time friend who I use to work for in my teen years makes the best New York Style Pizza on earth. I did have one slice (with) ;)

Wicked breaking all the rules choice: I had half an elephant ear with cinnamon (we shared a whole).

With drinks involved for the night, it's hard to say what the cal total was - certainly a big day, but testing my bloodsugar this morning showed no damage was done - an impressive 89 after a 10 hour fast and *exercise*

So today I go lean, I know the rules of weight loss, back to the ol' grind again *sigh* It sure felt good to head the to the dark side for one night *evil grin*

now we've heard about the food and we've heard about the date....but what about the music??? Did they rock.....or were they just faded rock gods?

That's funny about the gyro though....if we analyzed the contents of some of our favorite high octane foods I wonder would they really interest us that much. Good lesson there, T2!!!! And ahhhh, the pizza.....that was my downfall this week.

Hope you have a good rest of your weekend!!!

my hubby was craving pizza really bad yesterday so I got him a weight watchers one...it was pretty good.

Oh what a night you had Trucker. I agree with Scarlett, how was the music??? Did they suck or did they rock?? Come on...fill us in.. ;)

They were really tight, major league high energy and strong stage presence. Only a 12 song set

Bret totally dominated the crowd and C.C. seemed heroin-less but nonetheless ill-looking, Bobby Dall looked like he was bored and would rather be some place else but Rikki Rockett was just deadly on the kit.

Post-concert, Bret and Rikki did a courtesy press conference starting with an announcement that they wouldn't be signing autographs and were disappointed that they have seen their autographs on ebay, talked about their Pennsylvania heritage and some other stuff. I weaseled our way to the back stage area through a dear friend thats a fair board member and he had access to any place he wanted to go. We stood about off-stage below the first riser and could barely see as the press tour was fairly large and we really weren't suppose to be there anyway *snickers*

Bobby and C.C. left immediately in separate tour busses. Collecting murmurings from a few more people after the press conference, it seems there is some internal strife amongst the band - but then who wouldn't be surprised, right ??

It was an A+ performance, a good time had by all, the band sounded wicked perfect and would definitely see them again.

Wow T2 trucker
great job on your accomplishment
its very inspireing sorry for the misspelled
anyway the low calories you are on does seem very low but it seems to be working for you esspecially on the dibetic half my moms a dibetic and I know what you go through on that portion and she is ove weight asnd now i can tell her about you and what you have done to accomplish this but of course her dr will not let her do the 800 calorie thing but for one you have to want to do something if your heart is not set on it you will not suceed
we been trying to get her to join TOPS but not her cup of tea even though she is dibetic she likes her cany bars and all the no nos (lol) but maybe if i tell her about how well your sugar is doing she may reconsider

Thanks for the forum love Charlotte.

My diet isn't for everyone by a long shot, that's for sure and you really hit on the most important part, if your mom doesn't have the mindset or ambition, no plan will reward her 'wishing' the weight away.

Of course we all have our own reasons for changing our lives but a diabetic should really have an extra incentive to get rid of that nasty disease or at least give your body a chance to see if you can beat it. Talk about black clouds disappearing.....

Somewhere in my diary I tell a story of my morbidly obese brother and it hurts me equally that I half-expected him to jump on the bandwagon with me. It crushed me to think he's gonna take his problem to his grave but my bigger eye-opener was not to expect others to follow doing what I'm doing. I guess we get caught up thinking we can change people when we really know deep down inside the change has to come from within that person.

I hope your mom comes to grip with her uphill challenge and make no mistake, there is no easy way to lose weight but it can be done and she could very easily be a success story on her own terms and conditions.

(I'm new.. and have been reading your diary... you are a hoot!)

Poison was the first concert I ever went to, back in the 10th grade..ohhh, about 15 years ago! Rock On!

Sounds like you had fun on your date.

And CONGRATS on your weight loss!

Hi T2 - that is definitely an extreme diet! I'm glad it's working for you :D

My biggest concern is the worry that my body would think I'm starving it, and go into hybernation mode. How many pounds a week are you losing?

Based on my weight, I can lose 3 pounds a week by eating 1260 calories, it would be SO hard for me to eat much less!

Good for you for coming this far and for being willing to make the change necessary in your life to reach your goals!!

how were you able to calculate you can eat that amount of calories and lose 3 pounds? is there a way to do this based on your weight?
thanks!!

Hi curls, at whatever weight I was when I wrote that, my *average* daily calories to maintain my then current weight was 2760 calories. To lose 3 pounds a week, you would deduct 500 for every pound want to lose, or 1500 calories a day from 2760 which would give you 1260 calories a day to eat.

That is however just a rough estimate and for me, I go by averages...I average between 1250-1300 calories a day. Some days are in the 1100 range, some days are in the 1400 range, but at the end of the week, it's in my target average.

T2 - I'm glad you had such a great time!! I'm sure all that excercising more then made up for the fair food, eh?
;)
