That is my tribute av to Nightporter for turning me on to the inner workings of David Sylvian. The av is David according to her video circa 1978. -N- just blows me away with her following and indepth knowledge of this relatively unexplored (by me) musician.

Her video collection held me captive last night for a few hours as I stepped inside her cult of 'all things Japan'. It was a nice place to be. I throughly enjoyed David's music and versatile styles.

Tomorrow night I have 2 tickets to see Poison at our fair. I gave my daughter my 2 tickets to go see Peter Frampton Tuesday night so her and her boyfriend could have a night out on me.

Believe me, I'll rock out with less gut out. That's gonna be just fine by me.:)
 
wow peter frampton is still alive? heh... I had the frampton comes alive poster on my bedroom wall as a teen.. dang he was fine...

Hey there sweetie, I am glad your back safe and sound with us. It's been awhile since I typed in your journal. I missed ya along with so many others. Glad to see your back hun, talk with you later. I hope your diet is going good and this heat is a real b*tch. I hope it lets up soon. It almost makes me wish that Fall was already here. :eek:
 
Have a blast at the concert. I've never seen either in concert but I would have loved to go to Peter Frampton. Oh his hair is to die for or maybe now it's shorter? All I remember is just being intrigued with his hair. Loved it. ;)

Ah, heat!! I hate it! I used to live in Erie PA a few years ago- And the time I lived at my granny's house she had no air whatsoever. So, I would lay in bed, sweating, with all the windows open and like 5 fans blowing on me and it was so horrible. This was almost every night and we would all be hoping for the littlest breeze. I remember hanging out in her basement because it was at least 10 degrees cooler down there.

Oh yes- Too cool you gave your daughter and her bo the tickets! You must be one of the coolest dads ever!!

Well a strange story of his playing at our fair went something like this:

The original billing was Foreigner and they canceled (unknown to me why and too lazy to google 'current Foreigner news'), so one day later our fair board announced Billy Idol was locked in as a replacement. I was nothing but thrilled.

then...

He canceled as well :mad: (unknown to me why and too lazy to google 'current Billy Idol news')

So Mr. (not-so these days) Goldilocks saved the day. I live so close to the fairgrounds that I heard his whole performance pretty well anyway. My daughter said 'for an old guy, he can axe' so I took that as a good time was had by her and the bf.

If you didn't own a copy of Frampton Live in my days you better had a blue corduroy jacket with 4H patches on it as an explanation otherwise you were going to be issued a severe dose of monkeybumps.

Sorry Trucker. Foreigner is playing here in my town this weekend. :D Maybe that is why they cancelled there. :p J/K. OMG I would die to see Vital Idol. I wonder if he still has his platinum hair???? ;) Oh that would be one retro concert to see.

I hope to get a pic of the chick going with me too ;) Are 45 yr old women still considered 'chicks' ?? Oh well, we're gonna act 20 tomorrow night if that's alright with everyone. Why do I get this feeling i'm gonna wake up saturday morning feeling about 60 years old ??
 
It's so rewarding to have others tell you how good you look etc... Congrats on a great doctors visit, I hope the next one will cause him to faint!
 
Once a Chick...always a Chick.

I have a friend who joined the Peter Frampton fan club when we were in 5th grade and she is still a member. She dragged me to Ohio to a concert a couple of years ago--Frampton and Styx w/o the fruity guy....I must say I was thinking it was going to blow, but it was most excellent. The moral of the story......I don't know, I just had a good time.

Glad your Dr. office visit was a big hit. Dr's love that kind of stuff.

Me nervous ?? Yep.

Here's to trying to be young again. Time to go to the concert !!!

One thing for certain, this weight loss has made this night possible. For those still dreaming about 'getting back in the game', don't give up. You're next ;)
