This Trucker Fights Back

I did just that very thing Peq, in a rare and much needed event, I was asleep before midnight and got a full 8 hours of sleep. As soon as it warms up a bit (only 27 degrees here right now), I'm off to the trail later for a 5-miler. I just got done doing 20 minutes on the bike not to mention I did 25 minutes last night.

_____________________________________________________________

Yesterday's date was an important date. I'm sorry I brought some neggies to my diary and even sorrier I can't elaborate (Yes, even I have limits) and then to top it all off I had an internet friend call me here and tell me a most extrodinary story, one that will forever change my point a view of things in my personal life's future.

Just know I'm fully focused on all my goals in weight loss/better health/school/return to work. As for the personal things, well, time heals all.

{{{Hugs}}} did you make that 5 miler?

No, yesterday was a 2.5m day, hopefully here in about an hour or so I'm leaving for the trail and get my 5 in. I'm not out for any records today, just a mind-soothing walk in the woods. The window is closing fast here for this trail walk.

The last 2 frost we had killed the foliage (takes away the brilliant colors) it will still be pretty nice out there.

morning trucker...hope your ok...sounds like your upset, or was,....anyways, hope you have a great sunday :D

Thank you Korrie, I hope you get through day 2 of your weekend as nicely as you did yesterday.

To me, weekends mean no difference than weekdays because I don't have a family here to make that distinction of different interest and things to do which usually involves food - be it big meals, eating out or BBQ's or get togethers.

I've always said I have it so much easier here than 99% of you with multiple distractions in your lives. I can only imagine how weekends corrupt even the best intentions, but if you can master the weekends, you're going to win this battle.

Kinda silly to work so hard for 5 days a week and give it all back for 2 !! Now go look at your pictures again and remind yourself which pic you want to be ??

I hope all is going well for you today T2! Putting things out there does make for an interesting diary...however, it is a great learning tool for other people :)

I enjoy reading your diary and your words of wisdom.

I hope you are bonding nicely with your bike.

It is cold here this weekend too, in the evening in the 30's.. brrrrr.... And I hate this blasted Covered Bridge Festival. The traffic in town is HORRIBLE!

Have a good day! :)

oh randy. i'm so sorry you had a rough day yesterday. i wish i could have been there for you (though how much help i'd be i don't know since i'm on my own roller coaster ride).

i'm sending a big hug your way today and will be back on tonight if you need a friend.

I'm just adding some extra exercise in right now until my gym pass arrives. I think I needed to step back up to 2 or 3 segements of exercise a day. I love my walking but some cardio is needed as well.

Good luck at the doctor tomorrow.

Mine is pale by comparison to your situation. The hard part was how and what info came down the pike to me. It's hard to believe the shit people pull online sometimes but I never seem to be overly surprised 'o' Kudos to the phone caller, that person really did their homework.

Thx for the hug. I'll cya later.

Friday I got my test results for self assessment. Some of this humors me, some makes me go hmmm. Anyway, I had fun taking these test and I sure wouldn't call them a waste of time.

General Educational Development Levels (R,M,L):

R = Reasoning: College level 1-2
M = Math: College level 1-2
L = Language: College level 1-2

ok, for being out of school for damn near 30 years and smoked myself silly in the 70's and 80's I was surprised with this one. If I'm going to attend Penn State next year, it's good to know I have the chance to hang in there. That's half the battle I think.

Profile Interest Assessment:

1. Humanitarian - includes counseling, ministries *chuckles*, therapy or social services.
2. Selling - omfg !! telemarketing !?!? no thank you :p
3. Leading and Influencing - administration * me in a suit LoL*, law, finance, computer programming (what ??), enforcement or education.

Personal Temperament Indicator:

** Note: this says if you have been scored with 6 or more you are a strong preference.

here are my mine from strongest to least strongest ( )= rating.

People (9)
Directing (8)
Tolerances (8)
Under (8) * this means under specific orders and directions
Judgements (7)
Expressing (6)
Repetitive (5)
Stress (5)
Alone (5) * hehe, I had a lot of practice at this, shoulda been higher :D
Influencing (5)
Variety (5)

* Alone meant working alone without supervision - had to lob a stoopid joke in there :p

Aptitude percentile levels:

General Learning - above average: top 11% nationally.
Spatial - Superior: top 1%
Also Above Average:
Clerical Perception
Motor Coordination
Color Discrimination - *I think they need to change this term to color identification.
Verbal
Numerical
Manual Dexterity

Things I suck at:
Finger Dexterity
Form Perception

Now if I only had an actual use for all this data I'd be set. Like Billy Joel says: "What does it mean ??"

Sesame Street of course :D

*big hug* Love ya man!

*bigger hug backatya girl !!*

isn't that what you do on here? :D Just saying.

Thank God there was a profession for us slow thinking white men to strut our stuff. I like how you said "were a trucker", that has a nice ring to it :)

Hi T2!! Those tests are interesting, but look inside yourself, what do you really want to do with your life??? Go for it!!!

Very profound statement beckster and rock solid advice. This may be the first and last opportunity to 'go for it'. You're right, I should do what I want to do, not what the trends predict. I never did like sheeple.

good morning randy. *smiles for you*

And a helluva smile it is :) I couldn't outsmile you on a bet.

I hope you didn't 'purge' your canoe ;) Good luck stay above the water today down your way, looks pretty bad down there.

Big day today, sorry I didn't make it around to the diaries today and won't have a chance until after school tonight.

Forum love to all and do something strong today. Don't rest on it's a 'Monday, so blah blah blah' mindset. Those calories don't know it's Monday, so don't give them the upper hand.

Stay Focused.

Peace and *poof*

Yes, every field has their greats. But every forum has it's little guy that makes a big impact on people too. :D

And I like that "do something strong today". Think I'll write that down and tape it to my computer. So I can see it everyday. :D

Hope your feeling better and seems like your setting good life goals for yourself!

Hey There T2 -
I'm trying to catch up on diaries today, I've been reading some, but haven't been writing...

It's good you took those assesment tests, if nothing else, it might point you in directions you hadn't thought of before - and yes, you definitely look ready for Penn State next year :D

Quick break from study for a minute.

I want to thank the mystery person (assumed female) that sent me the package with 3 T-shirts and 2 pairs of sweats.

I wish you would've signed it other than "Smile Please".

Right now I'm just so excited and weepy I'm speechless that somebody would do this.

Whoever you are, you're heart is bigger than Montana and your carrying spans the universe.

Thank You
Thank You
Thank You

Thank You

Oh, I should say THANK YOU !!!

just wow
