Hi T2!! Just wanted to stop in where all the action is...my life is pretty dull these days. Nothing exciting, needle on the scale seems frozen...Been to a wedding, and trying to get through two family member's birthdays without having my cholesterol spike. Hope all is well. How's your daughter doing??

Hey bud, I'm finally checking in. Have a camping trip with the girls this weekend, running around packing tonight. Another leader/daughter trip.

I love my job. I really do. All the other stuff is killing me though. What I wouldn't give to be able to walk every morning and jog a couple of times a week.... Will find a way I suppose.

I hope all is well with you. I'll check in again Sunday evening. Send my hugs to everyone here, will you?

Good Morning everyone :) I beg for your collective forgiveness for not replying individually like I affectionately love to do.

As I've grown accustom to with my diabetes, I've been a lifelong carbuncle sufferer and yesterday I had to get one lanced open. I'm pretty much on happy cloud pills for pain and yet another antibiotic. Not much else can be done other than rest and stay in a zen for the next couple days.

I had high hopes as I lost weight these would go away (they're associated with obesity and diabetics are much more prone to them as well) and now I'm going to be walkless for a good 3 weeks minimum based on its location.

The good news is I weighed in at the check in and was down to 235 :) The nurse was quite intrigued with the amount I lost and said "you're almost at the 150 mark" and I said 'not quite', she retorted "you're only 2lbs away" and spun the laptop around and showed me where it was charted at 383 lbs in July 2005 for my last surgery. For the life of me I don't recall this weigh-in but then when I go to the hospital for these lancings, I'm usually in horrific pain and not very chirpy perky. Since I don't have insurance, this is the first time they didn't admit me for my standard 4 day stay - usually for humanity reasons to keep me on a morphine drip and run massive quantities of antibiotics through me.

I'll do my best to swing through diaries off and on and say hello and stuff.

Forum hugz-n-stuff to all :)

Thanks Debi :) This is pretty routine for me (unfortunately). I've gone through literally dozens of these. I hate that the weight loss brought me high hopes this would stop. I really wanted this to end.

No worries of gaining any weight here for awhile though. Food and painkillers don't agree with me too well.

Maybe I can find an afternoon bourbon sipper to keep me company later ;)

Not that I'm recommending Jack, not if you're on painkillers - but...he makes for some fun posting moments!

I'm sad to hear that these are still recurring for you Randy, has the frequency of getting them changed since you've lost the weight?

Yes, I've been on my longest stretch in probably over 5 years. 17 months since the last one compared to the summer of 2004 where I had one in June, July and August.

There's definitely progress in the works, but the bummer is I can't return to trucking if these continue. I need to abandon the thought of going back to that profession I guess.

Hi T2,

Sorry to hear about your continuing medical problems. I have heard you say on a number of occasions that you had it easier than most because you did not have as many distractions or commitments to interfere with your weight loss but I think that you are underestimating yourself and your accomplishments. It sounds like you had and continue to have plenty to sidetrack you. Fortunately you have persevered and worked though all of it to get to were you are today; 148 pounds lost. Congratulations and keep up the good work, you are an inspiration to many, including myself, on this board.

Looks like you have a better idea of your heaviest weight now. Good job on reaching 235.

Have a good day

Hi! Wanted to congratulate you on the AMAZING job you are doing on weight loss! That is fabulous!

I am so sorry to hear about you set back and hope you mend soon! I can't do much either right now, but not for the same reasons. I don't know how you feel, but know how frustrating it is! Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers :D:D

I hope you continue to recover quickly!
