Thank you Juliette!!

Your wish worked despite being retrospective.

:D THIS IS SUNDAY!! :D

I started while the day was overcast, but the sun was out within half an hour. There was a lovely brisk breeze though and it wasn’t hot. I just loved my walk. My husband came after an hour and a half and drove the dog home, so that she couldn’t inconveniently collapse in the middle of his football! I walked for another 10 minutes after that and was at the beach!

It was amazingly beautiful with little patches of white foam everywhere over the ocean, surfers, people on surf skis about a kilometre away, a yacht, the smell of seaweed and the sound of the waves louder than the sound of the traffic. I had only planned to walk there and back but I walked along the path above beach, down to the surf skis, thinking all the way that I couldn’t bear to turn back yet.

Then when I reached them I suddenly felt the first twinge of tiredness in my hips and knew it was time. Even the walk back was good though. Tight muscles most of the way, but my feet didn’t hurt until the last 20 minutes and I hardly noticed that anyway because I was enjoying myself too much. I had never realized what a lot of lovely places there are within walking distance of my home. Because I didn't think of them as being within walking distance I suppose. However, I have plenty of possibilities in mind for the future.

It took me 4 hours for 11 miles (17.7 km).

Wow 11 miles. I'm suddenly torn between getting out and doing my own walk and reading all these diaries. Congrats on a great accomplishment

Breakfast ~9:30 2 weetbix,. 1C lowfat soy milk. 1/3 C tinned peaches. 1 slice wholemeal toast with minimal margarine and marmalade. Boiled egg. 1 C coffee with 40 ml Hilo.

Lunch 1:00 2 handfuls of almonds and a V8 vege juice. 1 Salada cracker.

6:00 1 Salada cracker
.
Dinner 6:30 135 gm roast lamb (shoulder). 1 roast potato. Roast carrot, broccoli. Instant gravy. Mint sauce.

Exercise: 3:20 40 minutes cross training machine.

Hills program again. The machine sort of fluctuates how hard it is on that program. Warm up 5 minutes at level 1. 10 minutes level 2. 5 minutes level 2 no hands. 8 minutes 8sec/12sec intervals (maybe I should do that straight after the warm up when I have more energy – and try level 1). My maximum heart rate for that was around 170 I think.

After 20 -25 minutes I was pretty tired but I thought it might be worth trying to use the machine for more resistance work so I upped the level to 20. That was interesting. Useful I think. I was moving very slowly at first then seeing my heart rate climb I really started to really push it. It got to 195 before I stopped then went up another couple of beats to197, and stayed about there then suddenly dropped to 167 – I think the machine must only change now and again. Anyway, I like that feeling – when it’s really pushed. It’s kind of nice to do that with force instead of speed for once. So I left it at level 20 then till cool down. For cool down I dropped it back to level 1 and it felt like the machine had started pushing me and I was doing nothing. LOL That machine is fun to play with.

Calories 350 Distance 1.86 (kms? I’m still not sure, if so then that’s about a mile.) The distance and calories were more than last time anyway – more than just the difference from staying on longer.

Hi Felici, sounds like you're really pushing it on the cross-trainer, which is great. What's the max resistance on that thing? When I set the ellipiticals to their highest, which is 20, you can practically stand on the pedals and they won't move.

Did I see 11 miles...what the hell wmn - you crankin out miles on a machine - good for you - Ive missed you!!! Your av is great as well !!! Your so cute !!!

20 is the highest resistance. The pedals were super slow to shift at that level, but I thought that might be nice for a change - like weights. With the hills program though the machine varies the amount of resistance from time to time.

WOW 20!!!! thats awsome, I have a lot of time in my excersizes but very little resistance...Im gonna have to step it up:D Hope you had a great day!

Hey you :D:D:D....Ive been missing you - LOL _ im glad I am able to be back online again and now I need to make more of a point of visiting you I was slackin off a bit before...
