This is the time

lol, good point! Actually, I was more concerned about cooking my dinner :p
I mean it is steak and little bread rounds ;) Could be dangerous with my hands in the oven and my fingers crossed, too :D

Qjay - "steak and little bread rounds" - sounds nice. Were you eating late?

oh wow, i had those tests when i was pregnant. I think i had a similar reaction. They just said i was ok, but borderline type thing.

I had them when I was pregnant. They said I had gestational diabetes! but I don't remember them making me feel bad. The last one I had - a couple of years ago, was "glucose intolerant" - I don't remember that making me feel ill either - but maybe I just didn't notice.

Nope, it wasn't late :D
I found these mini-loaves of french bread at Costco, each one is about 5 ounces (300 calories), so I sliced it thin, on a long bias, spread a little butter on it, a few grains of kosher salt, a dash of basil, and I toasted in the oven until it was golden and crunchy. I'd say, there is probably 500 calories in the whole Demi-loaf (with the butter), and I had that with an 8 or 10 oz sirloin, meaning 400 or 500 calories; I'm assuming 500 cal from steak, 500 from the bread. It's a lot for one meal, and I DID miscalculate the bread when I was preparing it... but it was good and I took a good long time eating it. It was probably an hour or so for the total meal, maybe longer.
At least, without my fingers crossed. Who KNOWS how long it could take WITH them crossed!

Anyhoo, I will be sending positive thoughts your direction (south, right?) for the results from your doctor's office to be "Nothing serious! Drink some juice for a few weeks you could use some folic acid." ;)

Next time, I'm going to try butter spray and see how well, THAT works in the oven! :O

South. Yes. I think south-west is closer than south-east. I finally bit the bullet and tried again to work out the time difference, I think it must have been about 8:00pm Monday where you live when it was 12:00 noon Tuesday here. I live in Perth, Western Australia.

Pretty close :D
The post above this one happened at 1:27 AM, my time ;) West coast/pacific time, that is.
What time does it say where YOU are from?

5:19 pm. They decided to give us daily saving at the last minute this year so we are actually on Tokyo time. There should be 17 hours difference I think, but there's 16 ?

I hope you can sleep late tomorrow!! We don't want you getting sleep deprived. :)

Also I forgot to say earlier - thanks for the good vibe - those vibes seems to move pretty quickly! :)

Hi! Greetings from England! It's a pity you've not seen snow yet, it's really quite stunning when you wake up in the morning and see it, perfectly crisp and untouched! I would send you a pick of our Christmas snow only we didn't have any! I could show you our Christmas rain if you like though!

Hey hon!!

Well, I was gonna wax lyrical about how gorgeous snow is but it seems everyone else has done that for me! Though be warned-it is only beautiful for a few days, When it starts to melt it goes slushy and muddy and slippery and gross!!

Keep up the good work :)

Hi kezzy. Thanks for that!!

I think I really only want to see the nice kind of snow! :D I would like to see snowflakes. :)

Hmm I just read that you're from Australia...and now I'm quite jealous! Anyways, it sounds like you're doing great. You've almost lost 10 pounds...that's so awesome! Keep up the fantastic work!

I should snap a picture right out my window. It is REALLY coming down. Very thick and heavy and fast. It's beautiful if you don't have anywhere to be. It's even more pretty against a night sky!

Weighed in this morning. Weighed 91.3 kg which is 200.8 lb and a loss of .5 kg or 1.1 lb. That is the least I’ve lost in a week so far. Did I act differently? No. Does my middle feel smaller? Yes. Could it being the least yet, be irrelevant? Possibly.

Well the good thing about that is I am below 92 kg now and my weight this past year has mostly been between 92 and 96 kg.

I would like to lose a little faster than this. However I recognize that getting impatient when this happens is only ok if it pushes me to make changes I’m sure are ok. (For example: I do not want to try the soup only diet that finished me losing weight once before.) In other words business as usual I guess. Today it should make me try to get to bed earlier, get up earlier, get off the computer earlier – tonight and in the morning, so I walk earlier tomorrow. That might not make me lose any more weight next week but it is for sure heading me in the right direction. Also it should get me off the computer, RIGHT NOW, and send me off on a vigorous walk, which I should be able to sustain.

:D Yes!! Did my 47 min walk in 35!! At first I thought it was 45 and I just thought “Oh, I thought I did better, but I did have to keep reminding myself to go fast” – and then I realized it was just my math that was wrong! I am really chuffed. I walked in the rain too. Nice little rain. I haven’t done that before though. My feet were ok and my knees were ok.

I also went to the beach today – it was pretty rough – waves I mean – but fun – and I loved that lung cleansed feeling on the way home.

Breakfast ~8:00 2 weetbix., 1 C soya milk, 1 boiled egg, 1/2 glass tomato juice, 1 slice wholemeal toast, margarine, strawberry jam. White coffee. .Lunch ~ 1:00 2 salada crackers with a little (20gm?low fat cottage cheese), ~ ½ chicken thigh, 1 tomato. Snack 4:15 1 Salada cracker, 1 carrot. 5:45 25 gm raw almonds Dinner: 8:45 75 gm lean steak, ~ 2 tbspns lentil curry, 1 medium microwaved potato, ½ C steamed spinach with ¼ C yoghurt, 1 cooked carrot, 4 mushrooms – thin sliced fried in 2 tspns olive oil, . Snack ½ pear ¼ C natural low fat yoghurt.Exercise: 6:28 35 min brisk ++ Water: 2250 +ml Yesterday’s Bedtime: 11:30

It is relevant. Scanning your menu (and your incredible diligence), Your volume of consumption (and now the many days you've been in this plan) has probably allowed you to be at your smallest stomach size (the actual organ itself) in along time. You've probably achieved normal size. The trick here is to honor this size consistently. You will learn to be full with normal amounts of food now instead of overeating and stretching the stomach back out hence more food required to fulfill what the stomach and mind were use to.

So yes, this a HUGE step in weight reduction. I see many who never make it to this stage and fewer that know what to do with it when they do finally make it to this phase. Your reactions are pivotal to success when the incredible shrinking stomach cries out for food.

Well the good thing about that is I am below 92 kg now and my weight this past year has mostly been between 92 and 96 kg.

Congrats !! This really gives you a great feeling doesn't it ?? imagine what you'll feel like 2 weeks from now and 2 months from now when those numbers are even lower !!

I'm glad you rationalized your way through this. Sometimes the patience aspect is the hardest emotion to master. Good for you for getting out there and treating your body to some exercise !!

I'm jealous !! :)

awesome felici! keep up the great work. 1.1 pound is better than nothing! Thats all i lost last week, but this week i just need to push harder. You sure can. i think i need to go to bed earlier too!

Thanks guys. I do so much value your support. :)

T2 Trucker I'm jealous !!
Fair enough. When I think about the efforts you snow bound people have to go to exercise I feel pretty guilty about all the opportunities I've squandered. Time to change.

And time to do the "get off the computer" thing again!! :D

Just stopping in to see how you are doing. You're doing really great! Congrats on the weightloss so far and the deprocrastination that you're working on (me too!). Have a great day!!!!!! :)

OK. Still glucose intolerant. Still not diabetic. Iron stores normal. So normal for me. That's good. I have no natural inclination to worry about bad news in advance of it so I wasn't as nervous as I might have been, but I definitely feel better for having that behind me!! :D

Hyperose: Thanks for the visit. Yes. I've been getting away with some procrastination due to holidays - but they won't last forever, so I want to get some better habits in place before I'm back fitting in the school drop offs and pickups, and dancing classes, and netball, and ... WORK!! :)

Had one good walk today. I moved the wrong way later on and my knee (the better one) wasn’t so good. Ordinary walking didn’t make it hurt, so I thought probably it would be best to walk again but not push it and it’s improved.
