decisionmaker

Hi everyone! I've been on Cohen's for almost five weeks and I'm 11.4kg down, which has left me reeling!
I'm a young (25) English teacher in Perth, and I started Cohens because my Head of Department lost a massive amount of weight and has managed to keep it off for a whole year. She looks incredible and began running - which is something that I have always wanted to experience. I've heard people talk about the experience of running, and I'm desperate to one day see what that feels like.
I love food - both cooking, hosting and eating - and I have developed some horrific habits over the last five years or so. I'm definitely missing all of the insane curries I used to cook (curry powder just doesn't cut it)... and I think my partner is too!
I've called myself 'DECISIONMAKER' because my overall goal is to realise that I control the food I eat, and that everythying I do is my decision. Food DOES NOT control me. I have made the decision to healthier and happier.
I'm 6 ft tall and I feel like my huge curly hair sticking out above the crowd is enough to make me feel conspicuous, without being obese as well. When I started, I weighed 105.1kg. My measurements were:
Arm: 33cm
Bust: 104
Waist: 91
Hips: 125
Thigh: 74
I will measure myself tomorrow and update you then. YAY! Exciting!
My goals will be difficult to meet, but I know that if I stick to it and remained focused on the fact that it is my decision, I can make it.
My goals at the moment are:
Goal 1: Lose 10% of my body weight *DONE! Jan 7*
Goal 2: Lose 15kg by the time work returns (Feb 2)
Goal 3: Lose 18kg by my birthday (Feb 24)
Goal 4: Lose 25kg for trip to Melbourne (April 10)
Goal 5: GOAL WEIGHT by trip to Adelaide (July 2)
Goal 6: Remain within 2kg of goal weight for Dunc's birthday (August 17)
Thanks to all of the people who have given me inspiration on this forum - we can do it!

So in the end I drained the fluid and just had the veg and the chicken. Turned out ok, but needs a fair bit of tweaking.

Sounds like my netball team, we all love to play and some of us are actually very good but there is only like three of us that have played together before. Mind you the season is out at the moment. Too hot up here during summer to play netball! And I know exactly what you mean about the non contact sport!
I wish that they acknowledged how hot it was tonight! Though... haha, I'm sure it's nothing compared to what you'd be battling at the moment!
I ate an apricot and my two crispbreads before the game, but I only managed to get 3/4 of the way through my dinner, as I was running late. I even brought my dinner into the centre and tried to finish it before we had to go on! So... didn't eat all my dinner. I thought that I'd just finish it afterwards, but I felt so totally disgusting that I couldn't even fathom putting anything in my stomach.
I'm so proud of myself! Sure, my legs are still hideous, but that is a HUGE step for me. I haven't done that since I was about fifteen.
They ate that while we started playing, and I nearly died. I sat there and picked little by little at my Beef Chop Suey so that it took as long for me to eat it as for them to finish the food. I then had some mango. Yes, I really feel like I missed out (I can't kid myself), but I didn't touch any of it. And that was SOOOOO HARD.
