This is going to hurt, not in a physical sense but more on the emotional side.
I just stumbled upon this place, and immediately signed up after having discovered the before and after forum. It encouraged me to take my camera, and at 2 in the morning (right now - and looking very crappy), snap pictures of myself. I've always been camera shy, but this one was just the one moment my stomach dropped full of lead. I've never been more scared in my life of something than this, but I figured that if I post my images here - I am committed to exercise and diet if only so that I can not fall off the bandwagon, replace them later :blush5:

I seem to do that a lot. I've a hard time figuring out how to start and most importantly, how to keep going. I'm currently a college junior pursuing two majors and a minor, and so more often than not my meal times will find me in the studio (fine arts is one of my degrees), or in the library with my nose in a book.

So here's to me hoping that I can make friends here and find the right way around getting back my life - I'm engaged and about to marry in two years- and while that wedding gown is part of my motivation, i want to lead a healthy life.

Without further ado:

If your having trouble getting started, you've come to the right place. Read the stickies in all the sections if you're unsure about nutrition and exercise and read up on others stories for motivation and ideas.

College can be a tough environment to lose weight. I gained a lot when I was there with all the fast food I ate. A big part of it for me was just a lack of knowledge and accountability. Now everyone in my life knows my goals and are supportive, AND I have a plan and have figured out what works for me. Just start making baby steps and when you mess up, don't let it snowball into next week, just keep living a healthy lifestyle.

Congrats on the engagement, btw!

I give you 6 months and you'll be a completely different person for what you're about to go through.
