jjjay - Thanks for stopping by.
Yepp, third time here as well and hopefully this time will be the one where I don't lose piles of weight only to put it back on and then some.....fingers crossed!
Still haven't managed to go out - we'll hopefully do so on Monday.
Nostalgic - We're kind of in the same situation. We can't leave our son with a babysitter or anything like that due to his special needs, so the only time when we could go anywhere is while he is in school. And even then I need to have my phone nearby, because at least once a week I get a phone call and either have to pick him up, or give them advice on how to handle a certain situation, that kind of thing. So when we go out (hopefully on Monday), we have to leave at 11 am, try to be in Manchester at 12 (when the restaurant opens), have a meal, but make sure that we don't leave any later than 2.15, so we have plenty of time to get home before my stepson arrives home. So it's somewhat rushed, but it's the best we can get.
The cake's gone. Between my husband and myself, we finished it off. The only thing in my defense is that he ate more of it than me, and we did so over the course of three days. Still.,....this last week I tried to keep my calories really low to make up for that, and I am still convinced that I will have put weight on. Ah well. Just gotta work harder!
In other news, I'm really, really tired. Not sleeping properly any more at all. An hour, maximum, then I'm awake. Tried going to bed early, ended up staring at the ceiling for 5 hours before drifting off for a short time. Tried going late, same result. I can't get to sleep, and if I do, it's very restless and just for short intervals. Clearly the new meds don't help, and my doc told me to stop them, and I'll go in and we'll look at something different.
I used to be able to sleep for three days straight, just use the bathroom every now and again....now I can't get three hours together. And it shows. I look tired, I am always cold (happens when I'm tired), feel dizzy and out of it, and can't concentrate. Pain wise I am not too bad actually, a little achy but nothing that doesn't let me function. It's just that damn sleeping thing that seems determined to drive me insane....
