thermogenics????

Hey I started working out seriously in February of 2005 - - - I see definition now in my arms, chest, legs, and VERY lsightly, but not as much as I would've liked, in my abs. In fact, I started working out, only to see definition in my abs, and not much has come...Which is why I am thinking of starting to use a thermogenic pill, just to experiment, for a short time. I eat a clean diet, do cardio 4x a week for 40 min each session....Any suggestions on thermogenics I should look into? the reason I haven't trongly considered it til now is cuz they're supposedly dangerous, i.e. ephedra, heart rates....So let me know... Thanks a lot mfor your help guys

The ones that are supposedly (and I'll stress the word "supposedly") dangerous are the stimulant thermogenics, such as caffeine, ephedra, bitter orange extract, etc. Stimulant means it gets your blood pumping and gives you a boost of energy. If you have a healthy heart and aren't sensitive to caffeine and the like, these should be fine. As far as stimulant thermogenics I'd recommend:

1. Xenadrine 8-hour release
2. TIGHT

The non-stimulant thermogenics basically are:

1. Pyruvate
2. CLA

Any of the above would work fine. You can combine both non-stimulant thermogenics and a single stimulant thermogenic, but depending on your sensitivities, it's not always a good idea to combine multiple stimulant thermogenics.

so long as you don't abuse thermogenics, there perfectly safe for regular people. you see some people like to take 5 times the recomended amount, drink no water and go to a long football practive or decide they want to run 20 some miles for the heck of it. and that is how people end up in the hospital. then add heavy drinking the night before or a heart condition, and you can see where this is heading. even if your not taking the suppliment people go to the hospital all the time from things similar to this, it's only when your taking the stuff is when people will blame it being the only cause, when it's only part the the picture. this is generaly because people fear what they don't know. so be safe and follow the directions.
