Hey everyone im back AGAIN

im so sick of dieting and i think (i hope) ive got to the point where i want it over and done with so badly that i might actually stick to it.

So basically, im 125kg. ARRRRRRRRRGGGGHHH

Im going to blog everyday so that i can motivate myself

Im doing a challenge to loose 10kg by september. Fingers x it works :)

Please give me hints tips and motivation! Also do you have any at home exercises i can do?

x

For real, we started in the same spot. But you should post other info about yourself like height and your body fat%. You should definately get a scale that measures this because if you stay at the same weight because you gained muscle and loss fat your body fat % will drop and that is motivating. I've been eatting healthier for about a month now and have loss about 20 lbs ( also i exercise). This is what my day looks like:

breakfast: Hard boiled egg or banana (then take a One-a-day for men for the extra vitamins)

snack: Protein bar (sometimes)

Lunch: turkey sandwich (with mayo :( ), an apple, and string cheese. Sometimes some carrots

snack: orange

Dinner: Fish or chicken with some sort of veggie

sometimes snack on honey roasted peanuts

Now, i am very active at work and by this I mean i walk around quite a bit. But after work I go for a brisk walk for an hour ( now i throw in jogging ever couple minutes) and also i do a Crunch: Fat Burning Ab Attack workout video (30 mins). Sometimes I do one or the other. Also stretch before and after exercises/ do yoga on a free day or something. Keep your life active instead of being inside watching tv.

I cut out all sweet and my big one, SODA. I strictly only drink water and plenty of it! Now I do cheat, maybe one meal a week I go out with friends but still no Soda and try not to kill the diet on one meal.

I hope this helps!

Hey, wow you've done so well! conrgatulations!

Thanks so much for the reply.

Im 5.8 female and im not sure of fat% etc but i may invest in a scale like you recommended. Im generally quite broad, i have broad shoulders and excuse me giving TMI but im quite big chested aswell.

Ive been overweight my entire life, its been a long long battle and ive been self conscious of my weight since i was about 7 years old. Im 25 now and nothings changed, yet i still havent found the determination to loose the weight. When i was 14, i was 12 stone (168lbs) and looking back at pictures etc id be quite happy to be that weight again. In all seriousness, being skinny just wouldnt suit my frame, id look ill.

So my aim is to get to 12st (ish) so i need to loose 48kg(ish) my first goal is to loose 10kg by september i think i already mentioned that actually lol

Youre meal plan looks great, do you find it straightforward to stick to? My issue is i live at home and i eat what meals im given, but i can control what i choose to eat on the plate and i can make suggestions so there really is no excuse. As for exercise, im not sure where you live, but in scotland it pours down pretty much 350 days of the year lol so walking and jogging isnt ideal, but i have a wii fit, and other exercise stuff so i can get plenty of exercise, i need to stop looking for excuses!

thank you again!

You would be surprised, when you reach your goal of 12 stone, you will look great but I believe you can keep going at least 20 more lbs.

The meal plan I do is very straight forward and easy to accomplish. To help out with my meal plan and keeping track, I joined myfitnesspal.com. You can keep track of the calories consumed and burned from exercise. You can get types exercises from the website and it all around helps keep you motivated. There is also a forum on there and the success stories on that website are really motivating.

Do you have a gym near by that you can maybe do some free weight training and have some treadmills?

If you stick with what I eat and stay around 1500-1600 calories and do an hour of cardio or exercise a day. I would see no problem with you losing your goal for september by the beginning of August!!

First of all, I LOVE the title of your journal! I'm a huge Tolkien fan! :)

As for any tips, I would definitely recommend keeping a journal of what you eat each day to see how many calories you actually consume. When I first started I thought it would be fine to just keep track in my head, but once I started writing everything down I realized that I had been forgetting things I've eaten and not counting those calories, so I discovered that I was eating a lot more than I thought. A food journal definitely helps.

I think your goal of 10kg by September is healthy and doable! Go for it! Good luck!!

Thanks so much folks! haha it was the only title i could think of which properly shows the challenge ahead! ARGGGHHHH i hate exercise and dieting... healthy living or whatevs!

Thank you all for your support!

Had a bad week last week and in typical Holly fashion, used it as an excuse to binge. HOWEVER! this week is equally as crap and i havent binged... so far. It is only tuesday LOL

Here's the pattern of my usual habits...

Monday - GREAT

Tuesday - GREAT

Wednesday - GREAT

Thursday - Slippery Slope..

Friday - That slippery slope lead me to fall flat on my ass. (Diet wise!)

Saturday - There's no getting back up...

Sunday - Oh well may as well give up!

3 days of the week i do great, so this week im aiming to do great 4 days of the week, next week, 5 and so on.

baby steps...

xx

You just need a strong mental will for the first two or so weeks and I promise it gets better. Your stomach will start shrinking and before you know it the smaller meals that you have been eatting will make you full. Now, as you probably know the first two weeks are the hardest so push through it. Give yourself a meal on friday or saturday to give yourself a gift, but don't go crazy.

As for exercising, don't over do it yet. That was my biggest problem. I was 280 and wanted to jump out there and run 3 miles, but I couldn't. SO I walked everyday at a brisk pace for 3-4 miles. I never really thought that walking would help me lose the weight like it did (I used to be in shape). But we all have a starting point and if your not use to exercise then walk 3-4 times a week for a couple miles, then when your feel that walking doesn't give you what you need, incorporate some jogging within the walking!

Like you said "baby steps". Exercise at your pace, not what everyone else tells you, but I do feel that exercise is a great weight loss boost.

Hey, great, Holly, that you're here and bouncing right in to the quest! I agree with IronChe -- walking is a terrific way to start (it's almost all I'm doing right now -- that and some -- ahem! weights exercises with two cans of beans in the kitchen). And I also agree with baby steps -- it helps my motivation to have lots and lots of goals, all set out so I've always got one just a pound or two away. I switch measures so as to keep something close -- if the next step (i.e. nice round number) in kilos is too far away, I change to counting in pounds.

And you've made it through Tuesday, and go, Holly, for Wednesday! :hurray:

Hey!!

thanks so much for your advice you guys, honestly you really motivate me!

Well i have news... its not huge in weight loss terms but for me its a big accomplishment...i made it FIVE DAYS without slipping up! WOO!! this week's aim is 6 days! im so glad i did well for 5 days and on the other 2 days i didnt go cray cray i just laxed a little bit which isnt great, but i will do this! YES!

im also stepping up my exercise, like you all agreed, baby steps and all that! but i used to do about 15 mins wii fit 3 days a week, NOT ENOUGH! but now im doing 20 mins cardio and 15 mins strength and toning 5 days a week :)

Bye Bye Holly El Fatso... hopefully haha

Hi again everyone!

so last night after work i did my new exercise regime, i was knackered, but i did it and i felt great for it, about an hour lateri could easily have done the same workout again, but i didnt because i am unfit and dont want to do too much i want to take this slowly.

You should all probably know i worry about everything, im an anxiety fuelled geek LOL but i have this huge worry that im going to have loads of loose skin and look worse than i do now! SUCKS! what are your experiences with this?

also, i recently opened a youtube channel and blog etc for doing beauty tutorials etc. seeing myself on screen has made me want to succeed even more, so maybe try this? blogging and vlogging about something non diet related has taken my mind off of food for a while which is one of my major issues. Just a tip, works for me :)

xx

Hello, Holly! Congratulations on lots of things! On all the days of good choices, food-wise, and on the great gains in fitness! As for loose skin -- I reckon your young skin will snap right back into place, pretty much instantly! (and great admiration for your initiative in starting the youtube channel and blog!! impressed!
