If I'm not willing to keep up with my stuff, how the heck am I going to be able to track my progress? My workouts are currently all being done on Wii Fit until it gets warm enough for me to go outside, walk, and get back into biking. Ohio winters are the worst for that.

I typically weigh in every Monday, and that's the number I pay most attention to. I do the body tests on Wii Fit almost daily, but I know how weight fluctuates throughout the day. With this being my first entry, this is going to show where I need to end up.

Starting weight: 271
Goal weight: 200

Waist size: 51 inches
Size of upper thigh at the largest point: 25 inches

Both of those have gone down by 1 inch in the last two weeks, so that's making me feel pretty good.

Feb 21st Wii Fit workout:

10 minutes of free run
15 lunges on each leg
6 minutes of super Hula hoop

a quick 20 minute workout before work. So far, I've eaten a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (390 cal), a piece of string cheese (80 cal) and a glass of chocolate milk (200 cal)

Sadly, i eat dinner after work (10pm) which messes with me a bit, but I'm a late night person. I don't go to bed right after I eat, so much of what i eat is gone by time I go to bed.

Hoping I can stick with this diary this time around. Lets myself know my progress and lets others know if I screw up.

Hey Secrets, welcome to the forum!

I think you're off to a good start. Just by starting a diary, you'll get encouragement from others to stick with your plan. Just start small and stick with those small, gradual changes and you'll be amazed at the results!

Can't wait to hear your progress!

Yesterday was a fail of epic proportions for me. I didn't get a chance to work out because I got called into work early. One of the keyholders on my staff got sick, and I went in early to cover before my shift. She was trying to call off today, which would have given me an open to close shift, and I said no. She's the type of person who gets sick all the time and wants pity parties for her.

I only had enough time to zap a quick cheese quesadilla in the microwave as lunch before work. I had part of a sandwich left over from the night before at work, and my dinner was 3 slices of pizza and two breadsticks.

I just got home from work for today, and had a meal replacement shake for breakfast this morning, and just had two pieces of pizza and the last two breadsticks.

Got a lot of cleaning to do in the apartment tonight, so I know I'll be running around for that, and I plan to get in a 30 minute Wii Fit workout.

I have a bad migraine from this weather change, and my head is just pounding.

:( sorry to hear about your headache- I haaate migraines. I get them, and if I don't catch them quickly, they take me off my feet for an entire day!

I know what it's like to be busy. It can be really hard to fit a workout or a healthy meal in there! So good on ya for doing your chores and still exercising! There have been many days where I have given up, and said - i'll do it later! :)

Great work! You seem motivated and determined to make this work!!!

Got a short workout in on Thursday, and I shoveled snow for an hour today, so that was today's cardio. Talk about being in pain after all of that was done. I never realized how much I hate Ohio winters. Gonna try and get in workouts Saturday and Sunday, and then weigh in Monday morning.

Shoveling is an intense work out! LOL

I remember being so sore afterwards!! Awesome job!

Hope the weekend treated you well!

PS: I have some snow up here if you would like to shovel some more :D

Time for another update. I don't know what it is with myself and forums! I'll get onto one for a little while, and then suddenly disappear. Which is exactly what I did here. I've still been working hard, and I've gotten my weight down to 259. Starting at 296, nearly 40 pounds is a hell of an achievement for me. I've still got almost 60 to lose to get to my goal, but I'm keeping up on everything. I'm aiming to hit 200 by November if all goes well.

Great job! You're doing amazingly well... Even if you only post once in a while, other people will be inspired and encouraged to hear that you've done so well!

Weighed in yesterday, and I'm at 254.5! I'm really excited about this one! I can tell the weight is coming off slowly, but it's a healthy loss!

242.8 this time around. Still working hard, and seeing the weight coming off like this is amazing! Knowing I can eat whatever I want and just watching calories has been one of the best diets I've ever tried!
