Hi everyone! My name is Kayla. Hehe... I'm new here, with a goal lol I've always wanted to get back in shape and keep a journal about my weight loss. My parents don't seem to really care about me and my weight, considering that their fat lol, but anyway I'm hoping that you guys will support me and keep me motivated.

First of all, I'll tell you a little about my childhood. Growing up, I was never really a fat child or skinny. I was very athletic . From the ages 7-14 (in Middle School) I played soccer, T-ball, C-ball, baseball, softball, volleyball, and loved to swim eveyday in the summer. During those ages I was never concerned with my weight, until in Noverber-ish 2008, when I was 14.

During the summer of 2008, I spained my ankle then ending up breaking it playing basketball with some of my friends, was put in a cast for almost 2 months, was lazy, couldn't play any sports, or anything. My weight shot up to 160-165ish. Yes, i know...yuch!!! So, i decided to to what was best for me.

In August, I cut out most of my junk food, started eating smaller portions, but I ate whatever I wanted (mostly healthy food). I went from 165lbs to 140lbs in about 5 months, which is good. For the past month or longer, I haven't lost any weight at all. My weight keeps fluctuating between 139-142 and its driving my crazy!!! Rawr!!!

Currently I'm 15 years old, a freshman in high school, 5'5", and weighed in at 139.4this morning. I just wish that I would see it move sometime soon!! As of right now, I know my plan that I used before isn't working anymore waaaahhh!! I would appreciate it if anyone could help me on how many calories I should be consuming in a day, exercise, etc...basically anything lol

Exercise wise, ummm I run mostly every night for 20-30mins, I have a weight bench, but I hardly use it lol, and everyother day I have gym class for an hour and 30mins doing various things.

Ohh btw my goal is to be 120-125lbs by at least July/August. Right before I go to the beach with my friends!!!

Help me please....

Well since school let out 3 hours early due to flooding, I didn't have my gym class :( So, I got my butt moving and did so exercise! Haha..

30mins on treadmill
Worked on my fatish arms lol
500 crunches

Go me!!!
 
Waking up for school this morning I felt good, but I did notice that after working out last night that I wasn't sore at all lol I never am. Kinda weird to me since eveyone else gets sore. Anyways, I stepped on the scale this morning at 6am and it said 139lbs.

Food for the day:

Breakfast: strawberry yogurt and regular coffee
Lunch: was at school and didnt like what they were serving. So, I had a small bag of baked doritos.
Dinner: tomato soup with a grilled cheese

I will have something small or some broccoli later since it's only 4:30. And plus I'm under calories still lol

Will post again before I go to bed.
 
Well I did end up eating some broccoli with some corn around 6pm. Looking back on my food, I think I'm still not eating enough. What do you guys think?

Exercise:

20mins on treadmill
10mins on arms
500 crunches

After working out I got hungry and ate a 90 calorie granola bar. Oh well. I'll do better tomorrow. Goodnight everyone. It's midnight and im tired as hell.
 
your doing ok but how many calories are you eating and where are they coming from (carbs, protein, fat ) ? are you doing any strength training to go with the cardio you are doing ?
 
Well this morning I weighed in at 137.6lbs. It's probably going to go up tho. :( it always does.

Btw I'm eating between 1200-1300 calories a day. Does that seem to low? By looking at my food so far I need to eat more. Not enough calories :( any tips on what I should do? I need them.

Food for the day so far.

Breakfast: strawberry yogurt and a granola bar (90 calories each)
Snack: granola bar (90 calories)
Lunch: 1/2 cup of peaches, 1 banana, 1 cup of salad with italian fat free dressing, and half of a piece of pizza
Snack: piece of white chicken breast

Exercise for the day so far

Gym class consisted of
10 min stretching
50 push ups
50 sit ups
10 min jog
45 mins of hockey

Later I'm planning on going to the gym. Hopefully I go.

Please let me know if there's something that I'm doing wrong or anything. I'm willing to do anything. I appreciate it. Thanks :)
 
I think you're doing pretty good, but I'm not an expert. I think you should go ask in the advanced section, they know what they're talking about.

For dinner I ended up eating a 6in turkey breast sub on wheat bread after i went to the gym.

Gym:

20 mins on elliptical
30 mins on treadmill 5.0mph 2.0 incline
45 mins on various machines

I figure that tomorrow I'll see my weight go up big time. I've had 9 bottles of water from 2pm lol hopefully it won't go up too high.
 
I think you are eating to little, remember you are still growing and it looks like you may not be getting enough protein in your diet.

are your pushups full pushups or on your knees ? if they are on your knees try to include full pushups

also by doing 50 situps you may want to add some more dificulty to them by holding a weight on your chest or doing them on a decline. but remember to keep good form and don't have your feet held down and keep knees bent.

Blahh - Might I suggest It gives you a free place to log your food and exercise for the day, so you can see if you're getting enough calories and nutrients. Also shows you when you are burning more calories than you eat, so you can see when you are being naughty and when you're being nice. :D

Makes you more aware of portions too.
