Well lets give this a try, I am 17 years old 6'6" 300lbs. I play football in the spring/summer/fall, and am really looking to burn some of the nagging fat off around my stomach, and the 'love handle' area. My legs are already solid like tree trunks, so lower body isnt a problem, my arms have very little fat on them.

My workout: My workouts usually start with 20 mins of cardio, high resistence on the bike, incline jog/walk on treadmill (can sprint on them because it doesnt accomidate my strikde length), and weight training. I have acsess to a nice gym and would like some tips on excercises that burn fat and will help me flatten my stomach, and trim out my back area.

Any nutritional tips would also help, I tried the BMI and caloric intake needs calculator, and it came out to me needing 4355c per day, which seems too high. Any suggesteions are greatly appreciated as long as they are productive, and constructive.

HOW:

Some things I have ran into in the past are lack of consistency, or getting bored with a meal plan. I tend to do full body workouts as the days I can get to the gym vary. Sometimes a little but of that extra encouragement helps me reach my goal, and get to where I need to be, and thats why I'm here. I plan to try most suggestions and with the help of family friends,a nd you guys construct a viable meal plan and caloric and nutritional needs plan as well. Thanks and I will keep you posted :driving:

edit: thanks to trusyler, cheerup and ace_face for the ideas, and tips

Goodjob with the diary. You can get where you want. Just believe in yourself. We all believe in you!:bigear:

Forgot to add, I'm looking to lose maybe 20-30 lbs of fat and gain more muscle
and my bench press is really shaky, almost as though one side is stronger than the other. rotator cuff work/ muscle stabalizer work needed? if so what excercises do you think?

Hi, my fellow :eh:
Do you have any pics posted? I am very curious to see a fellow who is 6'6" and a football player! I bet they shudder when they see you on the field...

Best wishes on your WL journey!:auto:

Welcome fellow Canuck!

If your bench seems a little shaky, try using dumbells for presses for a bit. Definitely more stabilizer involvement than a barbell, and it could help. Or maybe back off on the weight for a bit, and work more on stricter form.

My 2 cents anyway.
