Hello everyone:seeya:
My name is Mary and I want to love my body and treat it right. I'm going to need some encouragement though cause I keep falling off the track. Right now I weigh 146 and I'd like to eventually be 125. But my first step is 135 by May 31.

Today is a new beginning and I started it off with good exercise habits at the gym:
I did the treadmill for an hour. First I alternated between walking at 4.0 and jogging at 5.6 for half an hour. But my body could barely take it (recovering from flu) so I slowed down to a consistent 4.0 for the rest of the time.

Eating was...not so great:
Breakfast- graham crackers and apple sauce
Lunch- small bowl of left over spagetti
Snack- more graham crackers and gatorade
Dinner- small bowl of chicken and rice

The gatorade I've only been drinking because it restores certain nutrients when you get sick.
The graham crackers...ugh so my day didn't start good at all :nopity: and I was just shoveling them down without thinking. went through one of the entire packs that came in the box, so without breaking them up into 8 rectangles I had about ten crackers give or take :eek:

And Im still bloated from them all. Oh well learn from your mistakes, right?

Hi Mary; that's great you can do speed 4.0 alternated with 5.6. Coupled with good eating choices you're going to get to 135 no problem. What kind of eating plan do you think you'll be following (once you recover from the flu). Get better!
 
Thanks, Im hoping to! My stomach is actually pretty small (on the inside lol) so I can only eat small portions at a time, but it seems like I eat a lot because I eat so often:

Breakfast (my favorite meal of the day, cereal or oatmeal :drool5: )
A snack before lunch (some fruit like an orange or banana)
Lunch (like a salad or a vegetated turkey sandwich on the go)
Another snack (some veggies like cucumbers or carrots)
And dinner
Maybe some apple sauce for dessert (icecream and such has become too sweet for me and so not worth it)
The only drink I usually have is water, I carry a refillable bottle around every where I go. Sometimes when Im at the mall I will get a smoothie at this health smoothie place (forget what it's called) but they add things like protein and energy mixes to it. So delicious.

Any suggestions/comments on that? Always looking to improve :bigear:

I think your goals are very atainable and your eating plan looks great! The only thing I would try to add a bit more protein like making sure that you have a serving of protein at least with each meal like adding a serving of nuts to your cereal or oatmeal in the morning, or legumes in your salads at lunch. Other then that it looks great! I also have my refillable bottle with me everywhere I go!!!! You will do great just keep at it, this diary will help keep you on track and people here are generally suportive!!!! I look forward to see you amazing progress!
 
Your small, regular meals are a really great way to lose weight.
I eat like you and breakfast is my favourite meal tooooo.
I wish I could remember what graham crackers taste like. We don't have them in England.

:hurray: Isn't it amazing how some people can go without breakfast? I get baffled everytime. And honestly graham crackers aren't that great and taste like edible crunchy honey cardboard (unless of course you're eating them with chocolate and marshmellows).

Thanks for the advice on the protein. Besides meat our house kind of lacks in that department, guess I'll be making a trip to the grocery store today :willy_nilly: I don't know about ya'll but our grocery stores are chaotic with rude people, old people, blind people with shopping carts, big families with irresponsible parents, etc... just a side note :rant:
 
Hello everyone!

This week has been a good one. My best friend and I weren't on talking terms. We both sucked up our stubborn selves and sat down for a chat. Turns out one of our friends has been working us and lying to one about the other. :cuss:Great stuff right? We think its low self esteem because she wanted the best of both worlds but not us together because then she'd just be a mutual friend or what not. It may not make sense to ya'll but it has been going on for a few months and that would be a lot to put in one blog post. Point is, things are on the right track now. I don't want to say ALL is well because my trust has really been tested and I don't want give it out again just to be crushed.

More news, I am leaving tomorrow on vacation for a week with my boyfriend and family.:driving: We're going to Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee then winging it on the drive back and seeing where it takes us- either Mrytle Beach; Virginia Beach; or Washington D.C.

All the hotels we are staying at have fitness rooms so I can still do my hour a day treadmill. I'm going to try and watch my eating very closely but you can only do so much on vacation.

Bust: 37.5 in
Waist: 30.5 in
Hip: 40 in
Upper Thigh: 24 in
Lower Thigh: 17.5 in
Calf: 15.5 in
Upper Arm: 12 in
Lower Arm: 10 in
 
Clothes are TOO BIG!

So we are actually leaving Sunday, tomorrow because we figured vacation shouldn't be a rush. Anywho Im trying on some warm spring/summer clothes since it is going to be in 70's and maybe 80's. All my clothes that either didn't fit or I barely squeezed into, are TOO BIG!:hurray:

It feels so great. I was 140 a few years ago, then gained weight to 165 after my boyfriend of 1 1/2 years cheated on me. Then I lost weight to 155 this past summer and now im in the low 140's. *I weigh in every morning and this morning I was at 141!*

I need to go shopping! Guess we will be stopping at a few outlet malls on the way to tennessee :D:D
