Days # 83-87
Ok, I'm back online after a long and oh-so-tempting four days off. I did well on Friday night and just ate salad and tuna when I got home to Mom's. There were all kinds of goodies, but I stayed strong. And, on Saturday I did well, too. I even walked every day of the days I was off aside from Saturday. It poured and poured on Saturday and was too windy to walk with all that rain. I don't mind a bit of rain, but that was too much.
So, Sunday - the day of true temptation. The girls had their birthday party. There were not one, but THREE cakes. And pizza galore! I managed to pass on it all. I had a very small piece of the fruittata mom made for breakfast that day. After the party I came home and had a lean pocket pizza and a 50-calorie sugar free blue bunny fudge bar. I highly recommend these. They are found at Wal-mart. They are bigger than the usually fudgesicle, but have no sugar or fat and are only 50 calories. They really starve off a craving for a sweet when the lifesaver popsicles aren't available! So, then we had meatloaf for dinner. I had one very small piece and some mashed potatoes and that was it! I was proud I didn't eat more than that one small helping. It wasn't the most perfect of food days, but I thought it was pretty good since there was so much temptation of cake and Halloween candy after the kids went trick-or-treating. (Our trick-or-treat is always on Sunday.)
Monday was another decent day. I went for a walk and then we headed to Chuck E. Cheese after pictures for Christmas. I had the salad bar and about one quarter of a slice of the pizza. The pizza sucked and I'm glad I didn't waste anymore calories than that on it! Dinner was sugar free jello and a lean crapzene. OH, and as a treat I had diet hot cocoa later and a few (5-6) mini-marshmellows in it. Since they dissolved into the hot cocoa, they don't count, right?
Tuesday I went for an early morning walk with my sister and nephew. When we came back Mom had made french toast and sausage! I had one piece of the toast and one very small piece of sausage. I figured that wasn't too terrible. But, oh my gosh were they yummy! I had to leave the room before I ate about 6 more pieces!! For lunch I had a lean pocket pizza and a cup of sugar-free jello. And, because of class, and going out after, I didn't get to eat dinner. At class there were Halloween cookies and baskets of candy! Oh my gosh there was so much to eat! I avoided all of it...didn't have even so much as one tootsie roll. I'm actually pretty pround of that. I more than made up for that piece of french toast in yummy syrup I had for breakfast by not having time for dinner. Oh, how I do love breakfast foods!! Mmmmmm...deeelicious! I have to say my friend made mention of how he thought I had lost weight last night. So, that was a very night Halloween Treat! I hadn't seen him in about a month.
Today I'm back on "normal" track. I got up and went on a long walk with the dog. I had a pumpkin smoothie for breakfast. For lunch I have a can of soup, but since it's Wednesday, my friend and I usually head out for a walk for lunch or out to eat. I may just head out to eat since the soup is my backup can I keep in the office for lunch emergencies. And, tonight when I get home I have to rush off to get a haircut, so I won't have time to eat a decent meal then either. Then, I'll probably be up all night since I have yet to even start my presentation that is due tomorrow night. YIKES!!!! Usually stress makes me eat. But, tonight, I won't even have time to do that since this presentation has to be started and finished and practiced!! UGH. Wish me luck.
