Hi! My name is Lisa, I'm 17 years old and I have been struggling to lose weight for years. I have tried several diets including the "Fat loss 4 idiots" and the "eat-clean free diet" by Tosca Reno. Sadly, none of those worked for me. I had lost weight with the first diet but because I lost it so fast, I also gained it back just as fast. The second diet didn't work at all because the food that I was expected to eat was way too plain and boring for my taste. But here's what you should know about me:
On an average day I typically drink 3-5 glasses of pepsi. So yea, I'd say that the general amount of weight I have gained was due to that. I'm 5'1 and 130 pounds. Everytime I try to use a "diet" it just never works.. because I try to change my diet too quickly. So I think for now, I'm just going to make small changes and eventually build myself to be able to eat healthier easily. I'd also like to go to college to become a music teacher. I have been playing piano for 10 years and clarinet for 7 years. It can be tempting to eat after I practiced to reward myself, so that is another habit I need to fix.
So without any further due, here was what I ate today:
10:00 - Bannana
12:00 - ham, turkey and american cheese on a roll with mayo [yea I know.. lol that wasn't the way to go but remember, SMALL changes not big ones just yet]
2:00 - went for a jog
2:30 - Ate grapes
then I seriously crashed.. and slept until 5:30 because I haven't been getting enough sleep for weeks. So on saturdays I'm usually exhausted and all I want to do is sleep. Luckily for me, I have off this entire week and monday for spring break so I thought, what a good time to start my diet!
Then at 6:00 I ate dinner.. I had spaghetti, and 3 meatballs :/. As well as two cookies with sprinkles and chocolate on them. So I think my biggest mistakes for the day had to be eating the cookies with sprinkles and also the sandwich I had earlier today. I know mayo is a no-go on a diet so I don't really know why I decided to ignore that rule. HOWEVER, this was my first day attempting to eat better and I still applaud myself for:
Drinking 6 cups of water and not a single cup of pepsi!

So I was wondering if you guys could help me out for tomorrow.. what are some tips to help me improve my diet? What's a good breakfast plan? I always have that problem.. I'll have breakfast but it will be a very small breakfast because I don't know what to eat! Also mind you.. I don't like eggs unless there is ham and cheese in it and it's on a bagel! So obviously eggs wouldn't be the best choice.
