Hi Cate. I was able to glean some benefits from 5:2 re discipline, however I does not offers the deeper internal cleaning that water fasting is renowned for. Although the 5:2 book that sells the concept of intermittent fasting hits on fasting and it's healing benefits - The process only beings 36 hours without food ... without any form of calorie consumption whatsoever during that period. I have read of the benefits after 16 hours of no food (No Calories Whatsoever/Water Only) however I do not consider those deep cleaning. Further more, since the process requires sustained days on end to further promote a deeper clean - intermittent fasting lost it's appeal to my aims. It did however start the ball rolling with controlled portion size and seeking to eat nutrient dense foods. For that - the 5:2 concepts was really good ... although I have been reading many people tending to eat empty calories as they favor more the lowering of numbers and less about nutrients. Not too much thought goes into the chemical reactions that take place after eating either; which other results in simple carbs like pasta and the like, being processed in the gut into sugars. Low calories meals that unbeknowns to those less in the know, result in more than they bargained for. Gr
5:2 is great - I did the calorie counting, but made far better ground once I learned more about the food I was eating and what takes place once it goes in as well as what it's mixed with. Food combinations and reactions can last up to 16 hours. Then there is also the factoring on broken physiology that what works for one does not mean it works for another, but sadly taste is what is often view as the primary deciding factor for most. Once that happens, people will justify and give in to marketing statistics.
Srry ... mean not to preach ... just sharing how it is that I have moved on through the different methods and or approaches to weight loss.

I hear what your saying about data limits. Australia is like the worst for that kind of thing. I keep data limits in mind when making my vids, and there is also data options such as selecting 144p which is virtually like just streaming audio with a very pixly picture. None the less, I don;t even expect to get more than 2 hits.

Doing a few videos is just another way for me to express is all.
I have decided to make my next Project a Video on what I eat and how I prepare it. Discussing the tools I use as well as food transport and storage will be a large part of it. How cheap I can go, yet make the healthiest choices within my limits is also a major factor of importance. I also want to present some of the psychology that goes into making such a routine a successful lifestyle.
That's me know goal. Something I know well and within my limits.
