The Journey of a one legged fat guy

Friday July 25th:

I had my 1 decade anniversary on Wednesday. So this week we went out of town and had a great time. I did a lot of wine drinking and ate whatever I wanted and did very little exercise. So when I weighed in this morning and was 188 I was shocked to say the least.

Earlier this week I finally got the call. I go back to work on Monday. My buddy I work with tells me he thinks ist spotty for work load but at least Ill be back for awhile.

Since I wont have the free time I have now I plan on riding my bike to work everyday and riding to the gym 3 to 4 times a week. In the gym I have been limited since I am having a lot of leg issues. I can run as far or fast as before so I have to suppliment that with stairs and bike riding. I need to work on weights a little more also.

I have a feeling that once I am back at work and have a set schedule it will be easier to control my diet. I have been very lack on keeping my food journal. I believe that is my main down fall. I am hoping that once I start back to work my food will fall back into line again. We will see.

Thanks for all you support guys. Love you all!

Hey Matt -- you are a real inspiration. Sometimes I think losing weight is hard, and then you go and prove I don't even know what 'hard' is. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

My weight-loss blog:

Hey, Mathew. I just had my 11th anniversary on Saturday. I also had my sister's wedding that same day and it was a weekend of eating and drinking. I think my scale is broken because it said I lost, so I think I need to pick up some new batteries.

Glad to hear that you're back to work. :hurray:

Ok, like I said Im back to work now. This is a good thing for my weight loss cause I can get back into a schedule now. Ive been better on my calories over the past 4 days now. If I can keep them undercontrol for the rest of the week and only have one day off I can get back down into the 180s. I am about 20 pounds behind schedule from where I want to be. Ive got a lot of work ahead of me.

I did. Its only about a 4 1/2 mile ride one way, but its something. I did a 28 mile ride last week. That was fun.

DAMN YOU CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES! DAMN YOU TO THE BOWELS OF MY STOMACH! Well, yesterday was going so good until my blessed wife made cookies. I am so weak. I can keep my calories completely undercontrol. Damn you cookies!

Good for the most part. Im working again, but struggling with the weight loss. Been stuck for about a month now. My own fault.

Why whatever do you mean? :reddevil: Yes, its always more satisfiying when you take your time enjoying every last morsal.
