The (im)possible mission of an Italian cook's daughter

1. Biked is a word in my opinion.

2. Yep, excercising boosts metabolism for several hours after the activity most of the time. The best though is weight training, it can boost metabolism for up to 72 hours!

how rude...i had similar encounter at work. i wrote about it in my diary, it was about a month ago, when a woman who was on a diet looked at me and said:"i know i will lose weight...for her i don't know"..and looked at me. well i have sattisfaction of telling that she hasn't lost a pound since :) although i hope she eventually will, i'm just going to do it healthier.

welcome aboard. I loved Venice, even though I was only there for 2 days. I think I could spend all day just walking around shooting photos.

good luck.

Among other things, I teach English and biked is indeed a word. Your English is great. I give you a lot of credit, I don't know what my weight would be with parents like that, but I picture myself as a big balloon floating over the canals and out into the countryside. I knew somebody like your coworker once. Thank goodness I left her and that job behind.

Hello! i was reading at the beginning of your diary and can understand where you are coming from. I love food and when it tastes so good it is hard to find the will power to say I am full! So good luck to you and I hope we can keep in touch on here!!:)

Don't listen to people like that. One day, her body and metabolism will change and she will be on the other side of the fence. Apples are great, I need to go get mine. =)

Keep up the great work!

Thank you guys for your support!

I weighed in today and I found out I gained 1 kg. :( that's so sad. I can't complain though, 'cause I ate a little bit too much in the last days. Today I haven't had much time to have lunch so I just ate fruit. And I resisted the temptation of a delicious birthday cake a coworker of mine brought. Am I not a good girl? :p

breakfast
1 big orange
1 cup orange green tea

lunch
1 big apple
2 kiwi
4 crackers

snack
1 orange

dinner
vegetables soup
1 turkey sandwich
radicchio (I don't know its english name, it's a kind of salad) with olive oil and salt.

I biked (yay, this word does exist) for 50 minutes.

Hey, Hey, Hey, I like the picture....beautiful!!!! Anyways, so glad you are here.....It's good to know that there are other Christians here that have the same struggles. I will be honored to help with what ever I can, you are looking fabulous though.....I am going to get some before pics I am still what and believing God for a successful after pic. Remember faith without works is dead, so, in having faith we can't just talk about it we have to be about it!!!! Tell me how long did it take you to loose the weight???

Hi Lovinme, it took me a month and a half to lose those kgs.
I try sometimes to do some treadmill but I find it sooooo boring. In the week end I swim and ride my horse...but I don't think horse riding makes you burn a lot of calories, it's the horse that does everything! :D

excellent! I'm really glad to know!

breakfast: milk and cereals
snack:1 apple
lunch: vegetable soup with "tortellini"
snack: low-fat yogurt
dinner: whole grains bread, salmon, lots of vegetables.

exercise: 45 minutes bike

I am a bit worried about the after dinner actually,'cause I'm going to visit the bf's cousin and she always wants me to eat chocolates or candies...I'm going to resist, I know I can do it.
