The (im)possible mission of an Italian cook's daughter

What a perfect day!
This morning my parents gave me tickets to go to Ireland for a week to visit one of my best friends who's studying there. :D
Then, my boss gave me a free afternoon, I read, I played the piano for 2 hours...:) soooo relaxing.
Then, just an hour ago the bf discovered that my favourite pianist, is going to give a concert near Venice and tomorrow he's going to buy the tickets!!! I hope there are tickets left...
As you probably have noticed I'm a piano addict...

breakfast: skim milk and cereals
snack:1 orange
lunch: pasta with zucchini, 1 apple
snack: 1 chocolate :D
dinner: polpettone, whole grains bread, salad
exercise: none, rest day :)

I can't wait to go to the concert!!!

Hurray! It's friday night! I know that for most of you it's still day, but here's a wonderful and warm friday night :D
And I'm going out with my friend in an hour.

breakfast: yogurt with almonds and cereals
snack: 1 orange
lunch: whole grains bread, steak, carrots
snack : apple and peach mousse (yummy and with only 65 cals)
dinner: whole grains bread, ham, 1 apple
exercise: gym
 
hope you had fun yesterday :) i'm so happy for you for going to Ireland. i wanna go there too someday, who knows maybe even this summer.
i love your menu girl. i'll make myself pasta with zucchini one of these days. i love it.

I bought a new scale, 'cause the old one broke. (not because I stepped on it! :p)
Unfortunately the new one says I'm 75.9 and not 75.5 as the old one used to say. I'll have to accept the new one verdict...That means I'm almost 1kg away from my february goal which was 75... :( It's not my fault though, I swear I never cheated!
 
LOL I weigh in the morning with my shoes on. I discovered that my shoes weigh .8 pounds more than my old ones. So since October I have been subtracting .8 pounds from every weigh in just so I don't have to add it onto my official weight. Now I know my scale is almost 8 pounds more than a medical scale, but I don't really pay attention to that part.

Sounds like you are doing well :) Congrats on all the exciting good stuff going on!

Don't worry about the scale, who knows what's really accurate, go by how you feel and look etc. ;)
 
Scales are crap anyway. I wouldn't spend too much time dwelling on it. Just go by how your clothes are fitting. That's the real measure of whether or not your body is actually changing.
 
Hi everybody, I'm sorry I was not around in the last two days but I've been out of town. Sunday was not very good foodwise (I ate way too much Pizza), but I went to gym yesterday so I guess I burned all those xtra calories. My weight is still stuck, and it's quite depressing. I hope to crack this plateau soon. I promised myself not to weigh in sooner than Friday. I know that if I see the same numbers on the scale I'm going to be so sad that I'll end up eating.
 
Failing to lose weight should not be cause for depression and back-tracking. Rather, be happy you found what hasn't worked to date and alter your approach.
 
Try really tracking your food. I know you record the things you eat, but try measuring stuff and tracking calories, protein, fat, and carbs, you may be surprised by what you are actually taking in... (this sucks cause it makes it really hard to eat out, I haven't been to a restaurant since January except for one cheat! but there is no gaurantee as to what you are getting)

Also, I am far from an expert, but try to get protein at every meal or snack and minimize your carbs as the day progresses...
