So things are still going pretty well. The only hiccup was that I went out on the weekend and consumed a couple of alcoholic beverages. By yesterday, I gained five pounds, today I really got back to re-hydration and such and lost three pounds. Doesn't quite make sense, but I'm not complaining.
Yesterday I had a quick chest workout and the good thing is that I'm not as in much pain as I was last week. I also jumped on the treadmill real quick and ran for 10-15 minutes. My initial plan was to go for an hour, but I could feel my stamina waning and decided to just go for a mile. I did it in just under 11.5 minutes, but I am sure it would be around 10 if I really tried. I don't think it's too bad for just starting out.
Today I hit up the gym and unfortunately all the treadmills and elipticals were occupied so I hit the stationary bike. Now, it's been a while since I've been on one and I totally forgot how good of a workout it is for my legs. I managed to go 10 miles in 30 minutes with some decent resistance and felt really good afterward. I think I may shift my focus from attempting to do an hour of cardio three days a week to doing half an hour of cardio six days a week until I can build my stamina with both weight training and with my aerobic exercise. Then I'll spend more time lifting weights three days a week, while also having the strength to pull through an hour of cardio.
All in all though, things are still going really well!
