The final countdown!

Well it's all gone completely to pot. I got hit by a car whilst cycling home today and luckily not hurt too bad. Boyfriend picked me up from the ambulance and drove me home via McDonalds and got me a mcflurry and a sweet chilli chicken wrap because he can't cook and I wasn't in any fit state to do so.

Well I suppose the day could have ended a lot worse than in a mcflurry and a wrap. Could've been a large big mac and fries ;)

On a serious note, take care of yourselves out there!

That sucks Lara. Glad you were not badly hurt! Well done on buying some bathers. Swimming is so good for you. I hope you find that courage soon sweetie. Don't live your life regretting what you might have done "if only I was ...lbs lighter" or "didn't have any wobbly bits." We always look worse in changing rooms in shops. They have such bright nasty lighting & we are also way too self-critical. Swimming makes you feel wonderful. I'm looking forward to hearing that you went to the pool & loved it. Don't think about anyone else & what they might be thinking. Most people have their own self-doubts & are usually too tied up in themselves to even notice anyone else. Take care of yourself sweetie & hope you don't hurt too much xo Cate

Oh sweets :( How did that happen? Did the driver stop? Deeeets, please. Poor you.

SO glad you got a cossie. You'll feel awesome once you're swimming :)

I was cycling along a cycle path, and I crossed a road (which intercepts the cycle path- cycle path is painted onto the road and lots of signs for cars to give way to bikes and pedestrians). The cars were not moving, as they were queuing to get onto a busy roundabout at rush hour. There was a large gap in the traffic, where the cycle path is painted onto the road, and as I cycled across, a car sped forward suddenly and hit my right leg, sending me and bike to the ground. I can only assume that he suddenly saw a gap on the roundabout and went for it without so much as glancing to his left. It wasn't a really bad hit, although he did accelerate forward quite quickly, but I was more in shock. I couldn't move or talk for some time. Horrible experience.
