I was cycling along a cycle path, and I crossed a road (which intercepts the cycle path- cycle path is painted onto the road and lots of signs for cars to give way to bikes and pedestrians). The cars were not moving, as they were queuing to get onto a busy roundabout at rush hour. There was a large gap in the traffic, where the cycle path is painted onto the road, and as I cycled across, a car sped forward suddenly and hit my right leg, sending me and bike to the ground. I can only assume that he suddenly saw a gap on the roundabout and went for it without so much as glancing to his left. It wasn't a really bad hit, although he did accelerate forward quite quickly, but I was more in shock. I couldn't move or talk for some time. Horrible experience.
