The final countdown!

83.1 this morning.
I had 6 biscuits and a bailys yesterday :-O the biscuits were a binge again.
Paris will be better as I can have better treats and not binge on average biscuits. The plan is to have a one day treat meal with dessert

@ angel,
Thanks, I have 30 euros in there and 40 to out in when I'm back so 60 in total YAY. 10 of that is because I went under 83, so even though I've gone back above that, the 10 euros for that mark has gone.

@ Sarah
The positive thing about roaming Paris with a baby is you walk more because you avoid the metro lol but yes there is no where baby friendly. Even baby shops are hard to get a push chair through. The pousette cafe is a dream for parents.
I normally change nappies in the push chair or in a small park as there is no where else to do it. This didn't work so well the other day though at a park we took Lucien too. I ended up with poop all over the push chair and on me :( lol.
I have to use public toilets as well. So I can take the push chair in with me as I would never leave him alone while I climb downstairs at a cafe.
Paris is def not push chair or wheel chair friendly although newer buildings accommodate for them.

89.2 this morning.
I had crepes for lunch as a treat meal but also binged on 6 biscuits again, I need to stop doing that.
I was a bit anxious all day though as my nephew (age 9) got hot by a car after school and being so far I really worry. He is ok but has 2 internal and 7 external stitches on his forehead plus he is walking funny due to his pelvis being twisted which they hope will come right. As well as all the minor cuts and bruises.
The main thing is he's ok. The stupid woman had overtaken a stopped car who was letting them cross the road in a school zone and hit him at 50km and hour. Hope she gets charged as the police were there as well as the ambulance.

I'm really tired of these people in their car thinking they are the fucking holy savior and thinking they can do absolutely everything as they want without following a certain code of common sense, such people shall have their right to conduct a car removed for a long time.

Wow what a rude and irresponsible driver. I hope your nephew gets better !
There are quite a few really bad drivers in this area. They just don't even know the index is there... very annoying.
But you are slowly and surely losing weight so well done and keep exercising ! x

I'm really sorry about your nephew, Nostalgic. I hope he gets better soon.

I agree with Benny, people like that shouldn't be driving in the first place.

Its good to hear that the doctors think that your nephew will be ok. I wish him well for a speedy recovery (and that the rest of the family get over the shock soon)...

I agree - they should throw the book at the stupid driver... People should have their license taken from them if they cause an accident by their lack of road awareness and additionally should be punished if they injure someone and it is their fault.

:iagree: with all of the above, even the swearing! That sucks Suz. Hope he gets better fast & they throw the book at her! Seems like I wasn't the only one this week to have a bad day, especially with bad biscuits. If we're going to be bad, let's make it with something scrumptious! :grouphug: xo Cate

Sorry to hear about your nephew. Good to know he's doing ok. I can't believe someone would drive like that near a school.

Ps. I think you meant 82.9 not 89.2 :p

Thanks all, my nephew is well. I'm waiting to hear if that stupid woman gets charged. I hope so.... This is how I feel about her.... ***************************************!!!
Wouldn't be good to post the real words so I beeped it out.

Exactly cate! I hate that I've binged on average biscuits. Treats should be worth while, something devilishly yummy.

oops, yes, 82.9, this morning 82.2.
I'm impatient to start pole but I can't yet :( when we get back I will make an appointment for the kini doctor to start the re training of the pelvic floor muscles.
I'm going to have to build up the strength again and am worried it will take time. Plus my skin will need to get used to gripping again which means big bruises in the beginning. I was so comfy hanging upside down with one leg hooked on the bar..... I don't think I could now :( it will come back quick I hope.

Hey Nostalgic,
Take the time to build up...slowly but surely get your body back in shape! Yes, it will take some time, but better to work up to it than to suffer the consequences of going too fast! Good to hear your nephew is ok...strange how people act sometimes!
Sarah

I know :( I think it's just because last time I lost the weight and started pole, was the first time in my life I was happy with the way I looked.
I was more confident and even started wearing short skirts (mid thigh to knee length) in the winter with boots and in the summer sometimes on the weekend.
I have always hated my legs and my goal was to be confident enough to wear a short skirt to work, I was nearly there and now am so far from it.
I know it's silly as people don't care about my legs lol but I've hidden them away in shame for so long it's feels like leaving the house naked.

I'm having a "fat" day but am proud as I didn't go for the biscuits even though I thought of them regularly during the day.

Don't get me wrong, I love that I have kids, I just wish I could have kept the kgs down while pregnant but being so uncomfortable and restricted I just couldn't say no to chocolate, cakes and loads of carbs.

Hi Suz, I hate my legs too. Pole sounds like lots of fun & you would have to be strong & fit to do it. I love exercising to music & wish we had something(not pole though :blush5: ) nearby where I could join a class. It's even more fun with company! I get sick of exercising alone. Keep up the good work Suz & you'll get back to where you are happy with how you look. Cheers, xo Cate

Getting caught up tonight. I'm so sorry to hear about your nephew. I hope he makes a full recovery and that the lady responsible gets charged. I see no reason why she shouldn't be, but the laws (at least here in the US) don't always make a whole lot of sense with this type of thing. Unfortunately, not enough of holding people accountable for their actions.

I also relate to you on your hate for your legs. I was the same way. I was so bad that even the thought of wearing capris stressed me out. This summer is the first summer in I don't know how long that I've felt comfortable enough to wear shorts without a worry. My legs are getting slimmer and more toned thanks to taebo. I hope you get good results with your workouts too. :)

don't worry about your weight too much :). you will be at that pole again in no time. just take it slow. it'll come back to you quicker this time. and you'll be feeling stronger. give your body time to recover from the last 10month :)

Hey Nostalgic
Gotta ask, what is pole? For your legs, you might try taking the stairs...I have found by adding stairs to my routine that it has really worked on my butt and legs. It doesn't happen over night, but it did take away some cm's on the measurements!
Good choices to you!
Sarah

Not so good but tomorrow is a new day
22/08 = 83.0
23/08 = 82.7
24/08 = 82.2
25/08 = 81.8
26/08 = 80.7 (6 biscuits, 2 small handfuls of chocolate drops)
27/08 = 80.9 (Crepes 2 sallè 2 sucre, lots of cider, 1.5 biscuits, 3 handfuls of crisps)
28/08 = 82.0 ( didn't eat much due to the drive back and had mc Donald's for dinner :( bad)

Thx all for stopping in.

@ cate,
Legs.... :( but at least we have them right :D
Do you live far from any gym classes, things like Zumba could be fun for you?

@ Mandy
Thx, still waiting to hear if the silly ***** gets charged.
Yay that your comfortable wearing shorts. It's such a nice feeling when it's hot. I hope I can reach that point. My legs before pregnancy were getting toned and slimmer, I was just trying to get past the emotional side of it. Hiding them for so long it's hard to show them off.

@ angel,
I hope it comes back quick. It not only helped with my body shape but with my self confidence and I want to feel that again.

@ Sarah,
Pole fitness / dance, is a vertical bar (aka stripper pole) that you do spins and graceful gymnastic moves on. It's a great strength work out because you use your own body weight. If you can dance (ballet, hip hop anything) then it's also a combined cardio and strength work out.
Its like the guys but they generally use horizontal bars although the are more and more men getting into pole fitness.
It really does tone every muscle in your body.

Stairs... YES, I have already decided that I will no longer take escalators or elevators with the only exception being if I have the kids in a push chair or medical.
When I start back at work, there are a lot of stairs in the metro and two flights to my floor in the office building.

Hi Suz- I shouldn't say I hate my legs, I know. They're sturdy & strong! Some people have legs like Willow trees & mine are more like an Oak. :)
I loved all the steps in Paris! No wonder I lost a kilo. I think we walked about 7-10km almost every day of our holiday. I miss that now. I have to try to find some energy & enthusiasm soon. I'm going to wean myself off some AD medication which I think may have caused this recent weight gain (along with other side effects) & hopefully my energy levels will rise. Apparently I have had glandular fever, which was probably the reason I was down in the first place! I will never give up. Cheers sweets xo Cate

I know people who do stairs all the time because of work/living situations which require it and they always seem to be in such great shape! Good plan to avoid elevators/escalators :D

My steps are not so great, I've been under 5000 the last few days :(
29/08 = 81.7
30/08 = 81.8
31/08 = 81.1
01/09 = 81.7

But eating has been good.

@ cate,
My legs are like oaks as well. I try and blame big bones. My ankles are so big that I have issues buying boots in winter even at my slimmest :(

@ Cate & slick,
There are tons of steps in Paris, we used to walk for hours round Paris but with little Owen we prefer to stay close to home to avoid the metro if needed to get home quick.
