Hello, my Angelic One,

You will not go back to the 160s--repeat after me, "I will not go back to the 160s.." LOL :hurray:

I actually don't have a teaching degree. I taught ESL in South Korea where they don't care what your degree is in, as long as you have one. :p I taught all ages from pre-school up to adults. My favorite age group was college students on up..lmao. I did like some of the older high school students, though. We got on very well together. It was the 12-14yr olds that gave me the shits--especially the boys. ;)

Actually, if you are at all interested in teaching in Asia, I highly recommend Korea. The pay is quite good--especially as they provide your housing free of charge, and the cost of living is low. You can basically save a good portion of you pay. My H and I both taught there for 5 yrs. As you will have an education degree, they will love you even more--and some will pay you extra for it. I had a blast teaching there. I had the best social life I ever had over there..lol. Every night's a party. :cheers2:

HI
158lb is great and you can make 154lb by the end of the month

9-11year olds are mouthy but i love that age they are so funny at the same time when i was on my community placement with the school nurse we had to do a puberty talk to year 6 and it was the funniest thing i have ever done but i guess that was 1 hour i dont think i could do it for any longer!!

hope your having a good week
Sarah

WAHOO!! You're in the 150's!! Congrats!!

And you will NOT go back into the 160's. Just make sure "I will not be 160" is your mantra for the rest of the week. Everytime you see something you really, really want to eat but know is bad for your meal plan simply remember that, run if over and over in your head like a broken record, and then close the fridge door. This is how I manage to maintain myself. After a while, your mantra becomes a dull whisper, and you're automatically backing away from the ice box. I know it sounds weird, but I speak from personal experience. It's why my pint of Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia is still in my freezer, lol.

And you're a teacher!! That's so awesome! I worked as a mentor for the past two summers. I love working with children. Even though at times they can be difficult, they're really genuinely sweet beings who have sensitive feelings and amazingly emotion provoking smiles. I love hugs from kids. It makes life okay for those four point five seconds they're saying "I've missed you, I'm so glad you're here now!"

Hope you're having an awesome weekend!!

thanx sweets! i am in the 150s and i hope not for long!! i think i'll be happy with myself once i'm in the 140s....i used to be. strange how numbers can mean so much! i will most definitley not go back into the 160s. i'm down to 157 today and yesterday lets hope i keep that trend. i think if i excercise during the week i will be down a bit more by next weekend. well done on keeping that B&J in the freezer.:hurray: i doubt i would have that self control over a B&J!!!!

i'm not a teacher yet but i will be in about 18 weeks time if everything goes to plan...lol! you are absolutely right, kids are great! they are so innocent and they say what they think and theres no hidden agenda with them.

have a good weekend yourself whatevers left of it and a good week!

so here we go

the last couple of days have been a bit busy. babysitting today so just got a little time while the kids mess around with legos lol!

the big news is i have been offered a job for next year...i've done loads of work experience at the school and it is awsome!! the kids are great and everything. they are also giving me a choice of which year i want to teach (4(7-8yr olds) or 6(10-11 yr olds))...they must have been impressed lol! i have pretty much taken it..just need to get the whole contract business sorted...so still abit iffy but hopefully this should be it for next year...can't wait!

my weight is down to 157 for the last 2 days according to the scale...its coming down again!!! hope it keeps coming down. today so far i've had about 700cals and over 2litres of water...not bad. i think i've been drinking so much because i've been baking and it gets reaaly hot in the kitchen. but lots of yummy cakes for later. hope i'm good and only take how much i should.

anyways thats about it for now. i'll try and visit everyone now. have a good week!

Congratulations on the job offer!! That'll be SO MUCH fun for you, I'm sure!

Cake huh? Wow, I don't think I would be able to resist. When I bake, I have to chew gum or I'm tempted to lick the beaters or spoon the dough. It's SO HARD to resist a heaping spoonful of chocolate chip cookie dough.

I will be so uberly proud of you if you resist overfilling on baked goods. They're my downfall for sure. ANYTHING sweet is where I go haywire. I use to eat a triple chocolate Nestle's drumstick every other day in the summer, and maybe a cookie dough blizzard or triple chocolate shake from Culvers....

Great, now I'm salivating for sugar...lol...

Hey, at least I can treat myself to a serving of ice cream every now and then or I'd go absolutely insane. Haha.

Oh, tell me about it!

This Thanksgiving, I ate hardly any REAL food and piled my plate full of desserts. I decided I was going to treat myself....I swear I ate at least 2000 cals in sweets. I can't help myself...lol

Congratulations on the job offer! I have three kids ages 5 (6 in a few weeks), 8, and almost 10. I made the rounds to their class parties on Valentine's day and I must say the 8yr old's class was complete chaos- I think they are extra rambunctious at that age. I personally love kids around my oldest's age.. they are kind of in between- still very childlike- but starting to mature, a bit calmer, beginning to question things and understand more complex issues etc. So far this is my favorite age.

Good job on being in the 150s, also- I'm personally looking forward to the 160s. When I lost weight before the 150s were exciting to me, I hadn't been there in forever- and I know once I get into the 140s I start fitting into my old clothes and not feeling such extraordinary discontent with my body. My first big goal is to hit the 140s- so I'm super happy for you to be in the 150s!! You are getting closer! I think I'm also about an inch shorter than you- so I'm sure you are looking amazing!

Have a great day!

:iagree: i have worked with most ages and that is what i find. thw younger ones accept...the middle rebel..and the olders understand. lol

thanx hon! i dunno about looking amazing right now but i'm sure we all will one day!!! ican't wait to fit into clothes which i've bought and not realised how big i have gotten so have never worn them. i hope by the end of this month i can be comfortable in some trousers because they already fit just a bit on the tight side ;)

have a good week

Me too! lol. My mother has a HUGE sweet tooth. She used to eat chocolate religiously before she developed a peanut allergy and couldn't eat any of it because it was packaged near nuts.

I inherited it, I'm sure. I just cleaned out my pantry and it took SO MUCH strength for me to NOT dip into the chocolate candies. Not only do I *not* need them, I gave them up for Lent. I usually do okay if I don't *see* chocolate, but even if I know it's there...I'm itching to have it. I KNOW processed sugar played a HUGE part in my obesity. More than half of my excess weight was put on through cake, cookies and the like...

Now I only have them once or twice a week. To be honest, as long as I'm not giving them up COMPLETELY, I'm okay with it. I'm transitioning my sweet tooth to appreciate natural sugar like the fructose in fruit. It seems to be working. Slowly, but nevertheless, surely...

Congrats on the job offer!! That is so wonderful. You must be really excited! :) I'm hoping I'll be able to find a job at the end of the summer!

Also congrats on being in the 150's again!! Keep up the good work! :)
