The Diary ;-)

Hi guys! thanx for dropping by during my absence lol. i have been in and out but haven't updated the diary and nows a good time as any hehe. anyway good new and bad news then. good news is i have officially finished my degree and passed...phew. bad news i have put on a cm around my waist but i have started since monday doing something about it. i have no idea how much i weigh (too many dramas with the scale lol) and to tell you the truth i am not really bothered. it doesn't affect the way i feel any more. it doesn't matter to me anymore what number i see on it. i get affected more by my clothes. its wierd people still come up to me and say i have lost weight even though i know i'm bigger than i was 2 months ago but it still feels good lol. i haven't excercised yet in 2 months!!crazy lol but been busy as i'm sure ive said a million and one times. not feeling hundred percent since last week but i will start excercising as soon as i'm a bit better. at least my calories are less than they used to be. back to 1600 from about 2200 before.
anyway hope you guys are all good and doing well. i will drop in later today or tomorrow. have a good week. x

I'm sorry to hear that you have not been feeling so well recently.

It is great that you have passed your course though. Congratulations!

You will get back on track with the weightloss (or inch loss) now that you have come back to us.

It is your birthday next week. Have you any big plans to celebrate?

Hey girl! Congrats on graduating. All your hard work has paid off. :hurray:

Don't sweat the cm around the waist. That'll come off in no time.

I thought about you as H and I were driving near Birmingham on the M6 a week ago. :)

yeh i aynt worried about the waist too much especially snce i know thats the first place my weight comes on so i can be pretty sure i haven't put too much a round everywhere else. i'm sure it'll go with a likle excercise! i hope...

you were near birmingham last week!!! wow!! did you have a good time in rainy England? i was thinking of you while watching wimbledon. did you watch it? it was really good but upsetting at the same time for me.

Hope you are doing well x

Yup, we had a great time. Actually, we didn't see very much rain at all. The first week in London was virtually rain free.

Oh, did we ever watch Wimbledon--the finals were incredible. We recorded the last 2 sets of the men's final, and H has watched it several times. He thinks it was one of the best finals ever. We agree with you, though, that it was disappointing. I really wanted Federer to win, too. :(

you got lucky then! Englands rainy about 99.9% of the time or so it seems lol!

i agree the final was amazing!! the best i've seen. holds the record for the longest as well. i think the final 3 sets were good once federer upped his game. Nadal was brilliant all the way through. he deserved to win for the most of it but i thought it was for anyones taking by the end. i mean that last set could have gone either way. it was a special match to win for both of them but i still wish Federer had won. they show the highlights a million times on tv after wimbledon...my mum watched em each time. i couldn't face it. a bit emotional about it lol. gets me upset thinking about it. hehe

hello people! today was not a bad day but not as good as the rest of the week has been. i think i took in about 1800 cals but i was working today...teaching (supply) and that uses up energy. i was starving by the end of the day. mums gone outta town for a few days (work) and guess who is left to be the woman of the house. that kills as it is. all the work. lucky i'm feelin better today otherwise i would be fast asleep by now. been really busy but still managed to watch a few episodes of LOST. thought i'd update the diary before i fall asleep. hope you all doing great. x

I've always had good luck with English weather. Back in '94 I got an awesome tan during the 2 months I spent in London. When people heard where I got it, they were surprised, and didn't believe me. :D

So you're woman of the house, eh? Does that mean you get to cook?

I see you're still watching Lost. :) Which season?

update of today-11 July 2008

calories about 1500 so far
water about 1500ml (not good)

went horse riding today...my first lesson it was brilliant. i think that counts as excercise. my legs are killing. got a compliment as well from one of the instructors saying i was pretty. felt good since that doesn't happen often. lol. anyway can't wait for my next lesson which is in 2 weeks ltime. i can't wait to ride without any help. that'll be good. hope you all doing good. x

I'm so glad you are back on the forum. :)

Thanx sweety!! i'm happyto be back as well.

Today hasn't been the best of the days for me food wise but i'm sure i didnt go over 2200 which is my maintain cals so its not so bad. i need to start excercising really but this cold is not leaving me alone. i think soon i will need to start no matter how i'm feeling. anyway hope you are doing good. will have to catch up on diaries soon. just beena bit busy lately. hope you're doing good.

x

Horse riding certainly does count as exercise - I believe that it is very good for you. It is great that you are enjoying it.

It sounds like your family is keeping you pretty busy with all that cooking and cleaning. Will your mother be away for much longer. It is tough if you are working at the same time.

I hope that your cold gets better soon.

Make sure that you have a great birthday. You definitely need to celebrate your 21st.

Hey Margaret! i was thinking of you today. went to carsington waters (don't know if you heard of it) and did the 8mile circular. i was thinking you do more than that everyday and i was dead by the 3rd hour. took us about 3 and half hours. you must be really fit woman!

mums back sat morning but shes a bit tired etc so whe hasn't taken over fully adn after today i'm sure she won't be taking over any time soon. i'm not working full time just the odd days of supply so its not too bad. just need to figure out how to get my excercise in. my cold is all better now thanx...its just the hayfever now i think.

i'm not big on birthdays but i'll probably make it good. am working on tuesday so it'll have to be later in the week. to tell you the truth i really enjoyed today and my horse rididng...even that's worth it.

Sunday 13 July

calories = 1700-1800
water = 3 litres
excercise = 8mile walk

i am going to measure myself tomorrow and see if i have lost anything. i wont be surprised if i haven't since this hasn't been the best of weeks for me. today was really good. we just went out for a relaxing day to a reservoir and picnic area. while we were their we decided to go for a little walk which turned out to be 8miles and 3 and a half hours long with a few breaks ;). it felt amazing and it was scenic and the weatehr wasn't too hot or cold. i took loads of pictures. had to stop walking for them loads.the only bad thing is that i went with my flat shoes which aren't the best to walk in and i was in pain more or less all the way through. i came home and had a good soak and my feet feel a likle better now. i feel really good though. it is my first piece of decent excercise in about 2-3months. i'm sure i'll be stiff tomorrow. i can't wait though i love the feeling. hehe!

i should be off to bed now. i hope you all had a good sunday. x

Horseback riding--how fun! That is great exercise all over, ya know. It's really good for your thighs and strengthens your core.

Sorry your feet are sore from all that walking today. :( I wanted to bring some cool black shoes with me to London so I wouldn't look like such a tourist running about in my tennis shoes. But I realized that spending the week in blistered agony wouldn't be worth looking cool. haha I don't mean to imply that you were trying to be cool (you are cool no matter what your shoes look like), but that I'll bet next time you think you might be doing some serious walking you'll think to wear more comfortable shoes. :biggrinjester:

I'll keep my fingers crossed on the measurements. :)

Have a great week, Beautiful. Oh, yeah, that instructor that said you were pretty knows what they're talking about. ;)
