The Diary of Readyfor18

You are doing great. :D

I can tell you are still excited about the healthy changes you are making in your life. I am glad you can get a chance to break away from your routine and have an opportunity to see yourself make good choices when away.

I hope you continue to carry this great attitude thru to the end. There will be easy times and hard times, but the attitude will keep you going.

by the way, will you do a few push ups for me? lol

I was in the Army for 2 years and learned how to do push ups then but that was a loooooooooong time ago... I will have to put them in my regimen eventually.

You will be looking tight in no time

I'll do an extra set just for you tomorrow morning! Thanks for the support.

I hope to carry on with the enthusiasm too! I'll talk to you guys on Sunday! :)

Day 4 - 6

Thank you for the support! I really appreciate it!

Day 4-6 - January 20th-22nd 2006
158 Days till my 18th Birthday

Exersize:
Moderate Exersize Over the Weekend

7 Sins: Some of the sins eaten, but circumstantial!

Food Intake: (Small Portions)
Didn't Keep Track

Well what a weekend! I was on a camp at a Game Farm! We saw a lot of great animals (the Big 5) (We were just off Botswana, I'm from South Africa) and I had a great time. Nonetheless I couldn't really keep up my diet as I had to eat what was made for us. Which was more than once something I didn't want to allow myself but if you haven't eaten since 1pm and its 10pm, you really will eat anything. I didn't overinduldge or eat sweets when everyone else did, but I ate white bread, drank a fanta etc. So it was quite bad on a diet front but its much better than I usually did.

I am not too happy, but it was circumstantial. So I'm alright with it. I cannot wait to weigh myself tomorrow for my first weigh in, and although it may not be as great as I thought, I am still proud of how I've done.

I am hitting the gym in 2hrs so I can get back to my routine. I saw this as a few days off to rest my muscles. But I am by no means stopping!!

Will update tomorrow with my weight! Wish me luck!

I AM NOT GONNA QUIT! It was a special occasion!

Post-Camp Workout!

Because I had very little chance to exersize this weekend and I felt that I couldn't eat as well as I did throughout the week, I decided to hit the gym and it turned into a "Record-Breaking" session for me personally!

I did 45 minutes on the treadmill at speed 8.5! I ran 6.5kms and aparently burnt more than 600 calories!!! On top of that I did 4 sets of situps (25 each) and I also did 5 sets of weights (20 each)

The total workout was 1 hour and all three exersizes were record breaking for my current diet. The 45 minute run is an all time best as I usually (whole of last week) only did 15 minutes! I did 3 running sessions in one!!!

I am very happy with what I have done and now hope to show my dedication through this!!!

wow well done u! 45 minutes ona treadmill! i cannot even do 5 minutes i think...!

you are definitely showing dedication and hopefully you will see the results to go with your efforts.

Thanks lerato!

I'm worried about tomorrow, this weekend will have worsened my results, but even if its only a 0.1kg loss, I'll be glad to have made a start! :)

That is most excellent RF18 :D Keep up the great work! You'll hit your goal in no time with effort like that.

i love your exercise! that is the number one key to losing! I think almost more so than the food, because it actually lowers your appetite. and as much as you are doing, it wont take long at all!

Thank you for the support everyone! My hard work has paid off so far... read on!! :)

Day 7 - January 23rd 2006
157 Days till my 18th Birthday

Exersize:
15 minutes on Treadmill
3 Sets Skipping (100 each)
4 Sets Situps (25 each)
4 Sets Weigths (20 each)

7 Sins: None eaten today!

Food Intake:
Nutritional Shake + 2 Rusks (Breakfast)
Fruit (School)
Meat Sandwich (Lunch)
(Supper TBA)

Well what a day! It started off badly, as I had a terrible pain just above my right leg, below my stomach (hard to really place) ---> It felt like a permanent stitch. I knew it was from running so much yesterday (I felt it hit me at 42 minutes) and I could hardly walk at school. But its alright. I still stuck it through and did a good workout session as planned.

Just to let you guys know a little bit more about me, I'm a white male (btw, lol) and I'm 6"4, 17 years old. Oh and I live in South Africa. Just thought I'd share some info with you guys so you know who you're dealing with (haha) --> Thanks for all the support by the way.

Anyway, on to the main event. Today was my first weigh in. And surprisingly, over the last 7 days, I have lost 1.4kgs (I went back and weighed myself again to double check a while later)!! I have also lost quite a few cms from my waist!! I am totally shocked although I can feel my body is getting healthier.

So all in all its going great, I may be losing so much because I eat so little, but if my body is cool with that, its alright.

Thanks for all the support and motivation!!! :)
