213 lbs

I have to admit I'm shocked that I hit the 10lb mark so easily. 10lbs in 14 days, without doing much at all. I really haven't been exercising as much as I know I should be, and I haven't been strict with the types of food I eat, just more aware of how much I'm eating. I also haven't been drinking as much water as I would like to.

But this does give me a little bit more motivation, which I've been seriously lacking. 10lbs down, 73 more to go. I'm about 1/8th of the way there!

I guess my 10lb celebration was premature. But then again, weight does fluctuate right? I'm still less than I was when I started :)

Wow, my first two days of the same weight. Guess I need to work harder at moving my body. Which I already knew. 20 minute walk tonight, or else you can all beat me up.

Congrats on the 10lbs....and isn't it something how a 20 minute walk and make us feel so good...who would have know...O' wait the whole world did..haha..Congrats again :)

I'm a terrible person, didn't exercise at all yesterday. I came home with a massive headache :(

Today I'm visiting my parents, so I'll get lots of roughhouse time in with their dog. It'll actually do some good, he's a great pyr. mix, so he isn't teeny.

Looks like you're doing pretty well so far! You don't have to beat yourself about not exercising EVERY day. A day off can be good for you. But just make sure it doesn't turn into a week off :p. Keep it going and the result will continue :).

Always remember that missing a day of exercise is preferable to missing your calorie deficit for the day.

Nice work on the loss so far!

Thanks guys. I'm doing pretty good with the calories. It's the working out I'm not so good at. I did have lots of puppy play time today though, running around in the yard, wrestling, etc.

I really need to get more active. I was doing so good the morning I weighed in at 213, and now I just feel like I haven't been doing it right. I should probably try jogging instead of walking...

Jogging is great once you get into it! It might be tough for the first couple weeks, but I bet you will get addicted to the endorphins :)

Plus it's a far better workout than walking.

I'd recommend you weigh only weekly to see actual trends, you'll fluctuate naturally from day to day so it's not as helpful for informing your habits.

Don't stress too much about missing exercise, calorie deficit is mostly what counts and most of that will come from healthy and proportioned diet, way less comes from calories burnt through exercise.

Thanks for the continued support, Snezy!

Frost, that is a pretty awesome idea. I've just gotten into the habit of daily weighing, so I'm not sure if it'll be easy to break. I'm keeping track weekly on the Fitty not Fatty challenge, so perhaps I'll make judgment calls based on that. Thank you!

So, do either of you (or anyone else) have any good exercises that a lazy person could ease into? I really hate being outside when it's warm, so perhaps something indoors on the 2nd level of an apartment? Perhaps I'm too picky :)

Ended up going to bed early last night due to another headache. Gonna walk today, headache or not!

Well if you are ever inspired to do some running, I would suggest the couch to 5k program. I have not personally tried it, but I've heard others have had success with it. Here's the link:

I do actually do a few workouts in my home which don't require any equipment.

The 100 Workout:
I suggest this if you're just starting out, gives a pretty good full body workout. I found I struggled with doing a full set of 90 crunches and 70 leg lefts, so I would take a break in between and fill the time with doing push ups, allowing my other muscles to rest.

Youtube has a lot of great partners who daily give workouts from home, with little to no equipment. I've tried a couple workouts from 'sixpackshorcuts', their workouts do give you a good workout, but some of them are a little too short in my opinion. Also I would suggest checking out Body Rock. I know the workouts are very intense, but there are hundreds of workouts you can do in your living room. So maybe you could start there.

I'm running out of things to say lol. I did a bunch of push ups last night, until I couldn't do any more. Granted, they were the fake ones with me on my knees, but I haven't done them in years o.o

:eh: HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!:eh:

Also, I'm back to the lower end of my recent weights. I know weight fluctuates, but I'm going to work really hard to keep it around here and lower. My chiropractor mentioned yesterday that cutting out all carbs would be the best way to drop pounds, but I've heard it's a short term solution. I'm also addicted to pasta and mashed potatos, which I've been having in moderation. I eat Smart Ones pasta for lunches at work.

I've heard of some people starting out with no carb and low carb to lose a bit faster, and then switching back over. Is that something that should be considered?
