The biggest loser show (biggest looser)

I am also shocked that they had a hard time at the canyon. I mean - the canyon has tons of trails leading down that are great for hiking, and quite challenging to climb back out of. I work for a Grand Canyon tour company - and we tell our guests to make sure they give themselves twice as long to climb out as they took going in. When I went myself I went about a mile down one of the trails and it took me 40 minutes to get back out and I was about dead.

And the camping - common. I would love to go camping at the Grand Canyon! I felt like they were whining about that too much.

My thoughts exactly!

I was also shocked.

Even tho they were still 'newbies' at the Ranch, they had plenty of instructions, tips, and so on before taking off for the camping trip.
I mean sheeeshhhh, use yer dog gone brains people. :toetap05:

There were so many places that long hikes could have been taken.
They could have used the gym supplies to come up with their own relay/challenge type event for fun/great work out.
That would have been fun to watch as well.
Hasn't E1 had P.E./Athletics/Gym time from their 'school days?'
Gosh, I can think of tons of relay type exercises right now plus basic exercise moves as well just from those days. lol

So, I think a 'lazy spell' came over them all.

:waving:I am totally rooting for Jerry & Colleen (the cop and his daughter). However, grey team was my second choice, so I am sad they are gone! I find brown team to be very whiny (did you catch his comments on preparing muscles and how he "hates vegetables" - and then his wife refused to try the cauliflower! How old is she?!). I think the mother and daughter who look very exotic are simply BEAUTIFUL, and it is cool that they are rebuilding their relationship.

Looking forward to more of BL
ABBA
I taped the show and finally watched the last episode. I was really sad to see the cop/dad go home. He might have put on 2 pounds but it was so obviously water weight. I mean...did you see i leg? I was happy to see that he has continued to lose weight and I also have wondered if the show continues to provide support once a contestant goes home.

Ditto what others have said regarding the lack of exercise done by the contestants at the Grand Canyon! :iagree: It was just crazy! A total opportunity to push themselves and see an amazing wonder of geography, and they were too lazy. It irritated me.

I was sad to see Gerry-the-cop go home! I don't think the weight he had gained was "water weight" though - it seemed like true edema, and he was surely at risk for a blood clot. I am thrilled that he has continued his weight loss and healthier lifestyle! :hurray:

I guess now I am rooting for Phil and Amy, the folks with young kids at home, one of whom is autistic. I wished they would have won the RV.

Looking forward to the next episode,
ABBA:waving:

HI! I've finally had a chance to catch up with the show and I was shocked (as all of you were) about how lazy they were at the Grand Canyon! HELLO!?!??!

I was rooting for the yellow team, mostly because I'm from Ohio, but the cop dad was such an inspiration and so cute! I love how he wanted to not be a "pussy." I am rooting for the girls' teams of pink and purple. Can't wait to see tonight!

Hi,

Finally catching up with the New Season and Im enjoying it so far, although I havent really got any favourites yet...quite like the Red Team, seem nice people :)

Not to spam or anything but they show all epsidoes of TBL Australia on youtube, which comes in handy at work ;)

Just as inspiring as the USA version, plus Bob and Jillian are still connected to it :) yay!!!

:seeya:

When I said water weight I didn't mean it in the sense of overall water retention...it was just obvious that his leg was filled with fluid. I think he would have posted a weight loss had it not been for the fluid in his leg...and doesn't he look great.

All the contestants that have been sent home look great and have continued on the journey.

I'm really curious about how contestants from years past are doing. I would love to see an update show telling us which ones have kept the weight off and which ones have gone back to their old habits.

changeforlife, often they hide it with cunning clothes, most skin will contract within 6 months to a year after the loss, but if the skin tissue is damaged (ie stretch marks or the saggy tummy like i have) then it will never go back into shape without surgery.
Eating proper foods and exercising does make it shrink faster and get healthier faster :)

^ Makes me sad. Seriously? Gah..I thought it went back to itself in time. :banghead:

Oh, and yeah, when Jerry went home, I can't say I wasn't disappointed, but it looks like he probably needed to go home. As good as it is, the biggest loser campus can't concentrate on one contestant. I can't believe he lost 70lbs! He looks great.

So what do you all this of this week!?

I hope Heba (sp?) is out. Last episode she really got on my last nerve, especially with the way she took it personally with the red team and purple team. If she really was playing the game both guys would be on her team. That will come to bite her in the ass real soon!!!

I kinda wish they'd give more information for the average person to lose weight along with the contestants. That'd be awesome. I do enjoy the show, however.
