Let's see how many Whovians come to see my thread with THAT title.
So, this is my....third(?) diary? The first diary I wrote, I ended up losing around 112lbs. It took about a year, and lots of hard work. I started at 300lbs, and ended at 188lbs. That's when I found out I was pregnant.
I had my daughter and only gained about 40lbs in the process. I started another diary and lost about 20lbs. Then, I was pregnant again. This time, I gained 50lbs. I went back to the second diary at 268lbs. I ended up losing 55lbs, and then I got married. That was last July. I don't know why I stopped working on weight loss, but I did. I just...stopped.
In March of this year, I joined a gym. I was 225lbs, and went religiously for about 3 weeks. I lost 7lbs, but I wasn't really watching my diet. Then, I helped move a piano and threw my back out for a week. I didn't go back. It was partially due to the back thing, but also, I was depressed. I fell into a depression where I didn't want to go anywhere. I didn't want to do anything.
Two weeks ago, I weighed in at 234lbs. I forced myself to go to the gym. I put my Fitbit back on and started walking. I have a friend who has added me to a couple of work week step challenges. I ended up in third place last week, out of 8 people. I was happy with that, considering I ended the week with 74,000 steps. I'm in the challenge again this week, and have already started with a bang. 13,000 steps yesterday!
Last week, I went to my first Zumba class. I love it! I went again last night, and I'm going back tonight. My knee is a bit swollen, so I'm hoping that it doesn't cause me issues. I really, REALLY want to continue to do Zumba. It seems to be helping.
Today, I weighed in at 226. That's an 8lbs drop in two weeks. I keep thinking that I'm not seeing much of a difference, but 8lbs is a lot. If I can keep with it, I CAN lose this weight!
