"That which does not kill us makes us stronger" - Elle's diary

Hey hey ellegirl,

sorry I haven't dropped in. I was MIA here and there due to a few issues on this end. However, I'm back and dropping into diaries to leave a bit of pervyness. hahaa! As for Vertex... bah, don't fret it, girl. It was raining balls that day anyways and you honestly would have hated all that damn rain. I know I did. Although, I have to say... I love the Rochester Fire Department. LMAO Alright, honey... I'm glad you're back and if anything, congrats to you for staying on track even though you were gone. I hope you're feeling better also. Now... let's get that fine ass of yours into the 170s by Christmas... ;) Love yas.

Glad to see ya!
Just popping in real quick gotta go freeze off a few body parts at work!
Man the colder it gets outside the colder it gets in there!

Hey, did you get your dog back?? I hope so!! :hug2:

You'll keep losing--just stay focused. Have you thought about joining the Christmas Challenge? I'm in charge of it. :) That should keep you motivated--after 3 wks you get put on a team--you don't wanna let the team down, so you'll stick with it. ;) Plus it's fun. :)

Hi Sheryl!!
Thanks for stopping in and leaving pervyness, it's always welcome. The RPD definitely does have some pretty sexy men, then there's the crazy, balding, creepers. lol. I'm positivly going to be working my ass off to get into the 170's by christmas! Maybe family will actually be able to see some sort of change then :]

I'll definately be glad to see you around more often!

Thanks Amber! I'm happy to be back and I'm not running off anywhere, anytime soon. :]

Glad to see ya!

Hi Kimberly!
Funny that you asked about my doggy. :/ We gave him to a lady that works with my mom. She had him for one night and then told my mom the next day 'I might need to give him back', Then she proceeded to keep him for a few more days and gave him back because 'I can't afford a dog'. Well OBVIOUSLY if you were taking a dog, you'd consider the expenses before taking one in. Apparently she didn't.
We took him back home to see if he'd possibly get along with my dog. (the dog we gave away was living with my boyfriend but shit went down and he couldn't continue living where he was) Now, my dog is a 31lb. pug/cocker spaniel mix. And the other dog that we had to give away was an 8lb. chihuahua. My dog (the pug/cocker) was afraid of the chihuahua and wanted to eat him. So that didn't work.
We ended up giving him to one of our friend's mom. She always loved him and he gets along with her 4 dogs (that are all beasts except for a pug). She has him now and he's having so much fun there with the other dogs. :] I'm glad he's at a good home.

As for the christmas challenge... what's the deal with those? like what goes on and stuff? and if I do want to join, how do I go about it all? :p

For some reason I'm feeling the need to listen to boy george & the culture club. No idea why but when I was doing dishes a little while ago, Karma Chameleon popped into my head. so obviously I had to download some boy george onto my laptop.

sad... so very sad.

I'm glad to hear the doggie has a good home. I couldn't imagine having to give away one of my cats--so I know how hard it is for you. :):hug2::hug2:

As to the CC, go to the Challenges section. There's a thread started there.

That should answer most of your questions. If not, feel free to PM me. :) I hope to see you there!!

Thanks for the :hug2::hug2:, it's been hard but it's really better for him to be with a good friend of ours rather than an animal shelter. So we've been doing pretty well with it.

I'm all in on the challenge. I'm completely petrified of failing at anything in life and hate disappointing people and I try to avoid it at all costs. But I guess the challenge would be good for me because I'll have to do it for other people too, not just myself. I'm iiiiiiiiiiiiin!

Don't know if I mentioned it or not but I started the Depo-Provera BC shot almost a week ago. I went to the gyno to get some BC because my periods were going crazy lately.

While I was talking to the gyno about my past history and medical conditions that I have now, she asked about my migraines. I told her about them and how they normally start with auras (most times, something that happens to your vision, sometimes a smell of some sort). She told me that because of those kind of migraines, I cannot take BC that has estrogen in it because my chance of having a stroke is insanely high. She said that she isn't even legally allowed to prescribe me BC with estrogen. I was shocked that I can't take BC like that anymore.

So I only had a few choices of what I could take for BC.
-2 diff. types of the IUD implant. I didn't want that anyways but the one she would want me on was going to be insanely expensive.
-some BC pills that don't have estrogen in it. These pills, you have to take at the same exact time every single day. Like if you take it at 9.30, you HAVE to take it at 9.30 every single day, not even 9.45. I guess it's because it's estrogen free that it's not effective if it's taken even as a few minutes late. And knowing me, I couldn't do that.
-The Depo-Provera shot. I had always had friends who had problems with it but that was really the only option that was right for me. She even said, before I told her my decision, that she thought that would be the best option for me.

So I got the shot (I'm a pussy when it comes to needles :/) and it wasn't that bad. The only real side effect that I could get that worries me is my appetite could increase. I guess I haven't really noticed it yet, I mean there were a few days that I was really hungry but I just didn't act upon the hunger because I knew that I had eaten enough food. The only thing that I've REALLY noticed is that I've been reaaaaaally tired lately. It's decreasing as the more time passes since I got it, but the day after I got it I was a sleepy mess.

Okay, that's all. haha, I'm feeling really random today... er, tonight. Alright, now I'm going to get some sleep. niiiiiiiiiight!!

There was a huge storm here last night. The wind was insaaaaaane. So this morning I try and go online and it won't work. I check the phone and there's just beeping in place of the dial tone. I try calling my home phone with my cell and it said something like 'we're sorry, the number you are trying to reach is out of order. This is a temporary problem, we have already been notified and it will be fixed soon'. So I decide to call the phone company. Surprise... phone lines went down in the storm. Soooooooo I won't have my dsl back up for who knows how long. I know I'm posting this saying my internet is out but I'm on my cell. Haha, okay. I'm done. I'll be back as soon as my phone's back on.

there are lots of other side effects to depo - so really keep an eye on your body and especially how you're feeling emotionally - the biggest one I've heard from countless women i sthe decreased sex drive -which I suppose makes it an effective form of birth control -if you don't feel like having sex.. :D

Good luck with it and do keep your doctor informed of any changes inhow you're feeling.

:rotflmao:

I'm super paranoid about medications so I'm definitely keeping a close watch on how I've been feeling as of late. I've heard too many horror stories from friends about depo so I'm still really skeptical about it, but everyone's different... I just gotta remember that. :D

Thanks for the concern mal!!
xoxo

Phone's back on now. yay!
I guess places all over town had lines down/phone problems. I'm not surprised though, there's one of those fold up kid tent things across the road and there's no kids immediately around where I live, gotta be like 3-5 miles down the road.
This weather just reminds me that winter is coming.
ugh.
I can so wait for that, I'm not a fan of the snow.

I gained a pound today so I'm up to 187. I'm pretty sure it's because I haven't had a poo in a few days. I'm not changing my ticker though, even though I should. But I figure I'll be back down to 186 tomorrow hopefully, if not then I'll change it.

I say hopefully because my boyfriend and I are heading over to my sister & her husband's house tonight. Her hubby ended up getting guitar hero3 today (yeah, we're game geeks) and he wants us to come over, play some gh and enjoy a few drinks. I'm going to limit what I have and count it into my numbers for the day. Hey... maybe I'll be lucky and get the beer shits! That'll surely make me lose the weight of poo sitting in me.

Speaking of poo, I was drinking some water last night and it had benefiber in it. David got home from work and drank some of it and I was like 'you know you just drank fiber water?' His whole face changed and he looked disgusted and said 'why'd you let me drink it then?' I just replied with 'because I felt like it'. His face was priceless, I definitely had a good laugh at that.

Reminder to self: pick up calcium & vitamin D supplements by Wednesday. I need to grab some because of the depo can decrease the calcium in your bones. Also, I'm lactose intolerant so I should probably be taking them anyways.

Okay, well I'm going to go exercise. ugh. It's been forever since I've done it. But I told myself that before I read some of my book, I have to exercise.
If anyone is looking for a good book, 'The Lovely Bones' by Alice Sebold is amazing. The book I'm reading now is also by her but it's called 'Lucky'. The Lovely Bones was a really good book and so far, Lucky is as well. Just my own opinion though. :]

Okay, I'm out. I'll be back later tonight or tomorrow morning/afternoon! Hope everyone is doing well!!!

awwwww! It sounds like you had fun there with alex! I want to see pictures when they are done!!! I completely forget that you and I have a time difference, I read that and was like 'wow! 11am to 6pm-ish is a looong time to carve pumpkins.' lol

After I post this I'll be sure to check out your costume picture in the challenge section :]

Obviously, I haven't gone to exercise yet... I am the queen of procrastination. lol.

Well have fun doing the rest of the things you have to get done and I'll be sure to chat soon!!
