uuuuuuuuuuuugh!
I've been SO busy yesterday & today.
and to top it off the forum wasn't working when I did have the time to get on here today. :banghead::cuss:
Now, I'm talking to a friend who's going through a mini crisis. She's freaking out and just really needs someone right now so I'm trying to help out as much as possible by just being there for her.

Got the period (if you can even call it that) yesterday while I was out. UGH! It's not a full period, it's just kind of heavy spotting(yay depo!) but my weight still decided to go up today. 2 freakin pounds!! 181. grrrr. That made me freak out a little (okay, not a little... it was a lot of freaking out) this morning when I saw it on the scale. :[ Hoping that it's just a combo of the "period" and having not done #2, today is day two of no poo. :| I'm already eating a bunch of fiber so I think if I don't do the business by the end of the night I'm going to take a laxative. *shudder* I hate laxatives.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to cheer! I know I said I'd be on last night to reply to everyone and then I planned on doing it today but that didn't work either. I'm gonna go continue to talk to my gf and if I get the time, I'll be on here later tonight. (I've gotta try and spend some time with david) If not though, I PROMISE that I will be on here tomorrow. I'm just overwhelmed atm. :[

Also, only take a laxative if you REALLY need it. I know you're not one of those girls who is stupid enough to pop laxatives to lose weight, but you just becareful. (I've known a few to do so... ick) I hope the drama subsides and thinks are back to being normal/ calm for you and your friend, elle doll.

Things with my friend got better last night. She ended up calling me around midnight wanting to talk though. So me -being the awesome friend that I am- got my ass out of my nice warm cozy bed and went dowstairs and chatted with her til about 3am. She wants david and I to head to the bug jar with her tonight (I can't drink legally, but they can... boo!) for some nice relaxing time... And so she can drool over the "James Franco" bartender. lol. Might head out there depending on A: what David's got going on and B: how my freakin non-wanting-to-shit-body is.

Speaking of my NWTSB, I didn't take a laxative last night because I figured I'd just try drinking lots of water and some milk (lactose intolerent when my body feels like it lol). Neither of them worked and this morning I woke up with a badass tummy cramp. Still ate some b-fast and did an hour of pilates and 45 mins of my silly walking dvd. Did some cleaning around the house and worked on the christmas cards. Read some of my book, which I'm slacking on finishing. Ate lunch and then watched a bit of mindless tv. Tummy ache was still there. It was one of those really crampy ones. So I decided to try and poo. Nothing new there. Figured that I don't want to take much more of this so about an hour and a half ago I took a laxative. I'm hoping that it works kinda soon-ish because I feel like crap.

Weighed 181.5 today. lol. Up .5 from yesterday. I didn't freak out though, just accepted it as it was.

My "friend" that owes me $100 is avoiding me like the plague. She's owed me the money since mid-July and hasn't paid me a cent yet. I loaned her the money to help by her a cell phone before she went out to California, so she wouldn't have to be without one. Granted, she could have bought a cheap phone but she wanted one with a camera and internet... sidekick3, to be exact. Same as my phone. So I was nice and loaned her the money and told her "don't worry about paying me back when you're out there, just when you get back here and start working again, pay me then". So she's been back since like the end of August and hasn't even attempted to pay me. She's been working a lot and damn... that girl doesn't have barely ANY bills. She only has to pay for her gas (which obviously isn't 800 a month). Her dad pays for the rest. So what I'd like to know is why the hell can't she pay me my money back? lol. I've asked her a few times when she'd be able to pay me and it's always something. Even on pay day she'll say she's broke. So yesterday I told her that she's gonna have to pay me back by Nov. 30. What happens after that, I don't know.
As you can see, we're not that great of friends anymore. lol. Her trip to Cali. made her think that she's some bigshot movie star and her shit don't stink... I can't stand people like that.

Lesson I learned: don't loan money to crazy bitches named Kelley. lol.

Okay, so nothing in there really had to do with weight loss but I'm really not in the mood to talk about that today. Oh well!

I'm off to update CC stats and check out diaries!

How does that phrase about lending friends money go? Sorry the bitch hasn't paid up. That's too bad. You could take her to small claims court. If she thinks she's all Hollywood, you could take her ass to Judge Judy or somthing..lmao. I'm sure she'd rip your friend a new one and make her pay up. :D

Okay, I am here with recipes!

First, my "steak and onion hoagies" that make mouths water just to smell them!

First, slice an onion and a green pepper into thin strips. Lay on a baking sheet and drizzle with oil, sprinkle with black pepper and garlic and broil. Broiling goes FAST, so check them every few minutes and flip them over as needed to get them nice and soft and browned on the edges.

While they broil, take a couple super thin cut (1/4 inch or so), lean steaks and slice them into strips about 1 inch wide. (I get the kind for stir fry that are really thn and have hardly no marbling.) Put them in a pan with a tiny drizzle of oil, black pepper, garlic (fresh minced is best, but powder will do) and a dash of worcestershire (not much). Stir and flip the meat until it is done.

Get a whole wheat hoagie (sub, if you prefer to call them that!). Slice in half. Use butter or margerine to spread on the inside (not too much!) Throw the bread under the broiler until the buttered side gets crusty and browned. If you like cheese, throw a slice of provolone on and let that melt. Add your steak and onions and enjoy!!

I've never served this without it getting raves.
 
Next is White Chicken Chili, a wonderful soup for the winter and only 225 calories per cup. Serve with crusty bread and you've got a great meal.

1 1/2 lb diced, cooked chicken
1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 can (14 oz) chicken broth (or make with boullion cubes in water)
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cans (15.5 oz each) great northern beans, drained, rinsed
1 can (11 oz) white shoepeg corn, drained
3 tablespoons lime juice
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro


Cook and dice chicken, then throw everything except he cilantro into a pot or a slow cooker. If on stove, simmer one hour. In slow cooker, on low 6-8 hrs. Add cilantro to pot and simmer 5 more minutes. In slow cooker add cilantro for last half hour or so.
 
Beef and broccoli (my husband's favorite!) So, so easy!

The same thin sliced steak as for my hoagies, cut in strips. Saute in pan with as much broccoli as you want (you can also add peppers, onions, any other stir fry veggies your heart desires), 2 oz. soy sauce (I use reduced sodium), a sprinkle of ground ginger, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. When steak is done and veggies are tender, eat! If you want, put over rice, bown rice or lo mein noodles.
 
Baked Chicken Strips (make enough for left overs, they make a great lunch)

In a gallon ziplock baggie, put 1 c. flour, 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1 tsp. black pepper, 1/2 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp garlic powder and 1/4 c. parmesan cheese.

Cut chicken breasts into strip (one breast makes 4 strips).

Dip into a beaten egg. Add to baggie of flour mixture, 4 strips at a time. Shake baggie to coat strips.

Lay strips on baking sheet. (Spray sheet liberally with nonstick spray, or better yet, get the nonstick foil by reynolds, it's a life saver!) Melt 1 T. Butter or margerine and sprinkle over strips. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 400 degrees, turning over at 7 minutes. Make sure chicken is cooked through. Serve as main course, or use on salad!

You can also use the same flour mixture, leave the chicken breast whole, dip in egg, coat in flour and bake, then add a slice of mozzerella or provolone to the top and melt. Serve with spaghetti for an easy "chicken parmesan" recipe. Or, as a great sandwich.

This is just one of my all time favorite recipes.
 
Turkey meat loaf:

1 pound lean ground turkey
1 egg
1/4 c. minced onion
1 t. garlic powder
1 t. black pepper
2 T. reduced fat sour cream and onion dip

Your choice of binder:
crushed saltines
crushed wasa crispbread
breadcrumbs

Mix together. Add enough of the binder to form a loaf. Mix together 1/4 c. ketchup and 3 T. brown sugar. Spread on top.

Bake at 450 for about an hour (slice a piece and see if it is firm in the middle).
