So you're doing upright rows now, or only with dbs? EC's article convinced me a while ago...With barbells I'm assuming you only come up to the sternum with a snatch grip, or at least a wider grip...if you do them with a barbell?

How do you usually do the face pulls? I like the rope (tricep pushdown rope) the best and attaching it to a cable opposed to a seated row. I've also tried it with a lat pulldown bar, putting my foot on the bench and standing up..but the rope owns all.

Yeah...I usually use dbs when I do upright rows. At the moment, I'm only doing them to add a bit of meat to the shoulders. My program will change up a bit as I start working the Oly lifts back into the primary spot in my training and then throwing will commence again in January. But if I do use a bb for upright rows, then they are with a snatch grip and only to the lower portion of the sternum (to the bottom of the pecs).

I do the face pulls with the rope and from a high attachment on cable machine. I use a slight lean back to get a good pulling motion...so it's a bit cheated.

Wow, I had no idea you were 5'8''

Thought I was taller, huh?

Last weeks workout got really skewed due to being pretty much snowed in for a couple days and not having access to gym, etc etc...did some bodyweight work.

Week 9-
Interesting day. Led a weight lifting/strength training seminar for the high school athletes...mainly wrestlers and football players were there. Spent the good part of two hours covering technique, form, and really working on getting a big lift. We worked on power clean, squat, deadlift, and bench press.

the power cleans were interesting and they spent a bunch of time doing jump shrugs from the hang. Had them work with triples and doubles on the squat...really working on getting slightly below parallel and exploding up. Anyway, it was really good...will spend Weds and Thurs with them.

So, my workout was kinda' off...as I worked in a few sets of stuff with the athletes.

A)deadlift:225X8, 275X5, 315X5, 365X3, 385X3

--ss--zercher squat:315X6

D)snatch [1]+OH squat:145X15X3
E)rev hypers:BWX15X3

Eh, I guess it wasn't too bad of a workout...my f'n quads hurt. Gawd I hate it when my legs are sore.
