Tennis way of life

I just started comming here and I figured my first post I'll just say what I'm going to try and do. I'll be starting my diet on monday when I start my job as a tennis camp consuler so I plan on pigging out on sunday just to get it out of my system.

I went to this one site and it had a plan that I wnated to try.

Cut 500 calories from your diet and exercise off 500 calories. The site said my body wants me to consume 3000 calories a day due to my weight so I want to stick to a strict 2500 calorie diet. Due to my schedule I'll have to eat a quick breakfast before I go to work and I'm obligated to eat the food at the camp. Luckily the camp I work at has a salad bar and hopefully some low fat dressing(I REALLY HOPE!!) My plan will try to be as follows

Breakfast:
Banana, Apple, glass of OJ

Lunch:
Salad

Dinner:
Something that doesnt go over 1000 calories

With that I'll have 300 calories left over for drink/treat
I know I'll get hunger pains so when I do I plan to eat celery-little calories mostly all water or just go and drink a water bottle

Even though Ill be teaching tennis I plan not to add that into my workout because there will be alot of standing around so my workout I'm going to either play a singles match or ride my bike for an hour.

Well thats it and I'm sure my other posts won't be this long but I want to be able to remind myself of my plan everytime I look at this thread. Good Luck to all your dieting!

Welcome to the site! This a good place for support and just to talk about weight loss.

I plan on playing tennis too, but my problem is that I'm not the best at raquet sports, and the ball doesn't go over the next half the time! :D It doesn't help that I don't know the rules either! lol. Anyway, keep up the good work, and you'll reach your goals in no time!

The weigh in

Ok so I got on the scale tonight since I'm starting my diet tomorrow and I'm pretty nervous about it. I weighed in at 189.5 so my end of the week goal will be 188-187.5...I know digital scales aren't always the best, but It's all I got. I think I'm going to post everyday what I eat and what I do for exercise and post my weight every sunday. Thanks for the support so far guys its really going to help in the long run for my quest to be fit!! Good luck all!

You have got a great plan. You'll reach your goal in no time. Have a GREAT Day and don't forget to drink your WATER!!!!:D

That's a great plan. I play tennis and went to a performance camp in the summer- I saw quite a difference in my weight at the end of the summer. Coaching tennis doesn't involve a lot of exercise, but as you probably know, playing does.

Hopefully you'll reach your goal, and when you do, you can cut the calorie intake to 2000 and keep seeing results.
