tennis programme

I require a 6 week tennis programme to preferably improve my cardiovascular endurance.

I am aware of the principles of training etc but struggle when it comes to creating a programme.

I play tennis 5 times a week and therefore only have 2 days off for rest/recovery.

If anyone could help with a programme, or make any suggestions as to what to add this would be greatly appreciated!

How old are you? How long are your practices? What equipment do you have access to and when?

Hi, I'm 14 and until around a year ago I was playing 5 days a week around 3 hours a day +. I have stopped now, as in England you can't play tournaments and hope to enjoy it, the LTA makes sure of that. Mothers twating on about how their little Jeremy went to Barbados for 1 week so they are then expected to be amazing only to get slaughtered 0 & 0 in 40 minutes. But anyway, tennis fitness is related a lot to the surfaces that you play on. Clay for example you need to be very fit and be able to take long rallies, while grass power is more of an attribute. I find the best way to get fitter is by playing the game. Run a few miles a week and maybe do some natural bodyweight exercises as well. Of course if you start bulking that won't really do wonders for your game.

Getting stringer would deff help you out, but you wouldnt be able to with that timetable.

If you do get the chance to do any weight training focus on your legs, this well help you turn and rush much quicker. But again, It would be very hard if you trained that much.

Im 17, I train for around 2 hours, and have gym membership therefore any equipment.
