I'm starting my diary off with the recommended questions :)

1. How much weight do you want to lose?
84 lbs including the 10 I've lost so far, really didnt realise I had so much to lose!

2. What is the time frame for reaching your target weight?
I dont have one. I've been doing this for years and setting unrealistic goals. As long as I stick to my two simple goals it'll soon come off.

3. How do you want to accomplish your goal (what methods do you want to use)?
From experience, I lose weight easier by simply cutting my portions and banning white bread and blocks of cheese! Also adding 30 minutes of exercise daily then adding to it once my body is used to it. On friday and saturday nights I'll eat less in the day so I can have a bigger meal, I'll also allow wine.

4. Who or what can support you in reaching your goal?
The internet is a huge motivator for me. I've been a member of forums before, I love challenges between members and the encouragement most people give you on a weight loss forum. My fiance and my mum will help me too. Me and my mum re started all of this yesterday so I'll have her support on the phone.

5. How realistic is your goal?
Very realistic, I got close to it before so I know I can do it.

6. When will you start?
This is my 2nd day

7. What is your current height and weight?
5'1.5" and 186lbs

8. If you were at an ideal weight now, what would that weight be?
112lbs

9. At what weight would you like to be at four months from now?
maybe around 159lbs

10. Why do you want to lose weight?
Because I'm more confident when I'm slimmer, I'm able to do more and I'm fed up of getting ill and not doing things because I dont want anybody to see me.

11. Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
Well I'm getting married but we've not set a date yet, wont be for a couple of years.

12. What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
My depression maybe, I comfort eat when I feel low. Moving houses again (few weeks time)

13. Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
Because I'm classed as obese, I have fat rolls, Its obvious I have a weight problem.

14. What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
Making sure I add at least 30 minutes of activity EVERY day.

15. Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
I went from 177lbs to 130 lbs and stayed at that weight for a while. I lost the weight by adding walking to my daily routine, cutting portions and limiting white bread (because I LOVE it lol) I eat things like salads with fish or chicken, veg, cereal bars, special k, jacket potatoes. Drank lots of water, and did pilates, I also cut down on the lager. I was a member of a forum and posted a food and exercise diary.

16. Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
I put the weight back on when I left my job and moved areas, got into a new relationship and was drinking most nights and eating out.

17. What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
Well I've tried alot of diets: atkins, weight watchers, hays diet, none of them worked for me because I cant seem to stick to so many rules! I also tend to set unrealistic goals i.e. "I will lose 35lbs in one month for a party"

18. Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
Thats worked for me in the past, so I'm gonna try it again.

19. Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
I dont cook often right now because I'm living on my own, when my boyfriends here at the weekend I like to cook but thats normally unhealthy because he likes to let go at the weekend. I'll start cooking more when we move back in together ina few weeks.

20. How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
Not often anymore, Its normally a pub lunch or an indian at night

21. What are your three favorite foods?
white bread, cheese, burgers .. oh dear! lol

22. What are your three favorite restaurants?
I dont have a favourite

23. What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
cut portions, add veg, chew slowly

24. If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
My confidence, my frame of mind, my clothes!

25. Do you eat when you are not hungry?
Yeah I eat out of boredom

26. Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
Oh yes

27. Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
I have done in the past.

28. Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
Yes, it makes me feel better for a while at least.

29. Do you eat as a reward?
Yep

30. Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer?
Yeah, every time unless I'm out.

31.What do you normally eat for a meal?
before I was trying to lose weight I'd eat things like: toast for breakfast, sandwiches for lunch, chips and meat for dinner with bread

32. What type of snacks do you eat?
I didnt snack much before, I've got almonds and dried peaches for snacks now

33. In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
30 minutes treadmill, 15 crunches daily

34. Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?
I've got a treadmill, exercise bike, mini trampoline and exercise ball at home, so no excuses!

35. What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
Long walks, pilates, aerobics

36. What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
Daily motivation is talking to my boyfriend and my mum daily and letting them know how the eating and exercise is going. Weekly motivation is my friday and saturday evenings. Monthly is adding up all the pounds lost and seeing how I've done for the month. Yearly is hopefully looking back on the past 12 months a whole lot slimmer screaming WAHEY! :D lol

37. Do you have rewards for certain goals?
Just my friday and saturday nights right now. They'll be controlled, just one meal each night that I wouldnt normally have, it'll still be a small portion.

Also, I used to be tashery_Do_Dah but lost the email I used to sign up for it.

I think it's great! Good luck to you. I will be checking in :) We are about the same weight so I definitely want to see your progress!

Thanks timetolose! Always good to have someone checking in on you :) how tall are you?

*Binge Alert* I'd love nothing more than to reach for the junk food right now! I must stop myself. I've been looking into becoming a primary school teacher. It'd involve me going back to college to do an access course (because I didnt finish my A levels) and then going on to uni. I just mentioned this to my boyfriend and he hit the roof! Apparently I've changed our life plans and he "doesnt want to live with someone who is working part time" I said I'd work full time and do shift work so I could get a day off in the week to do college part time. But apparently thats not good enough so hes reconsidering us moving back in together. He also questioned how we'd be able to have children in three years and mentioned us not being able to buy a house! Surely it'd be easier if I was a teacher. Grrr how can you step on someone for having goals? I was just looking in to it!

*note to self* be strong, step away from the kitchen and jump on the treadmill!

Ok rant over.

So it's the end of day three. I think I've done pretty well, but boy do I feel low! I guess thats because it's nearly 2am and I have the dreaded lady thing. Does your body go into detox when you begin a diet? I feel terrible!
