Well, I finally have something to talk about. Today I started my "diet". I'm very proud of myself for today!

Today I had...

Breakfast: 1c. cheerios + 1/2c. milk + 1c. watermelon = 231
Snack: Special K Bar + 1/2c. of pineapple = 127
Lunch: Chicken 6oz + 1/2c white rice + 2oz greenbeans +
1/2 corn on cob = 219
Snack: Special K Bar + 1/2 of kiwi = 144
Dinner: Chicken 6oz + 1/2c white rice + 2oz greenbeans +
1/2 corn on cob = 219
Snack: Healthy Choice Icecream bar = 80
Snack: Special K Bar = 90
Snack: 1c. cheerios w/ 1/2c. milk = 185

Total: 1295 Cal.

That's a great lunch and you're getting lots of fruits and veggies... yay you

- but are you sure aboutthe calorie count in it? (or was this a frozen meal)
According to my calorie counter, 6 ounces of white meat chicken breast has 187 calories, and a 1/2 cup of white rice has 102 calories...

It really doesn't matter much, because if you stay in the 1500-1600 calorie range you should still lose weight without a problem...
 
Ok I fixed it, I used my calorie counter and for 6oz of chicken = 77 cal. *shrugs* still not too bad.
 
Total amount of calories today was 1597, quite a bit more then I expected (still not too bad), but I did eat at mcdonalds, and I had icecream, I think I did pretty good.

Oh, also forgot to mention that I walked home from work and roughly burned 145 calories (not great, but at least it was something)...

It's not as good as "regular" icecream... it's healthy choice 80cal., but it's still better then "regular" icecream.
 
Well sometimes we need some food other than "diet" food just let let our body know we are still alive. Just my opinion but I think regular food once in awhile is a good thing......
 
Yesterday I had 1488 calories. I walked home from work yesterday that was about a mile (20-25mins), I also walked up and down my stairs 100 times (for 2 hours).

So, I found a calories burned calculator, and estimated that for 30 minutes in total I took water breaks, so I did it for an hour and a half, so I tried to accurately find the amount of calories burned...

My results...

Walking home: 145 calories burned.
Stairs: 1795 calories burned.
Total: 1940 calories burned.

...agian, I tried my best with accuracy (if anyone can help me with this part, please do).
 
Wow that's impressive stair walking -- you do realize you almost hiked up to the top of the Empire State Building.. WOWZERS!!! 2 more times and you would have had it :)

Well Done!! Your behind and legs must be nicely sore today....
 
Yesterday I had 1500 calories. I felt like I ate too much throughout the day but I kept track of my calories, and didn't go over, so I feel a little better about that. I feel better with myself now that I'm starting to take action on this instead of hoping I was the way I want to be.
 
Even though I told myself I wouldn't weigh myself until next Friday, I couldn't help it and weighed myself today, and last time I weighed myself was maybe a week ago before I started eating healthier, and less calories, somehow I lost 8 1/2 pounds between then and now, and only starting my "diet" 4 days ago. It's probably just a really good reaction to the multivitamins I'm taking, the exercise and eating way less calories then I'm used to (I probably consumed like 4000 calories a day before), and drinking only water.... so anyways, I'm happy! :)
 
Hey Tam! Sounds like your off to a great start :) I hear ya on the pop issue.. I wasn't a big pop drinker before I started this, but fast food, oh my hunnies, I have three jobs, so I ate fast food probably two to three times a day! Went cold turkey on it, and within the first week I was down 12lbs... amazing what that crap does to ya... now I can't eat anything greasy or, ya know, it makes your tummy do flipflops :(

Anyways, glad to see ya on here!
 
I've only been using this to keep track of calories... and I haven't been on the forums lately because I have a lot going on (sorry! :(). Within the next week I'll try to post more. Anyways, today I consumed 1240 calories. No exercise though (except normal amount of moving around). I need to exercise more, that's for sure, but at least I'm doing good at tracking my calorie consumption. I'll be weighing in next Friday... *hopes for the best*.

Ok, well I weighed myself yesterday (cheated the weigh date again) and I lost 4 more pounds (is my scale lying to me?)...

I don't remember how many calories I had yesterday, but... today I ate...

2 cups of cheerios and a cup of milk (220 + 150 = 370)
Cereal bar (90)
Weight watchers tv dinner (270)
Ritz snack pack (100)
Sandwhich w/ 2oz of turkey and less then 1oz of cheese (60 + 55 + 140 = 255)
Chips ahoy snack pack (like graham crackers) (100)
Got hungry later and had another sandwhich (60 + 55 + 140 = 255)

I sliced the meat and cheese at work (work in the deli) so I weighed it on the scale... so anyways...

Total: 1440 calories.
