Taking things one day at a time

I can't remember what you were before you were 163 but i am sure it was more than that lol. :cheers2: for doing so good. It all sounds much more positive now. :hurrah: I hope things can continue this way.

Careful with the mangoes. I love them too. I can eat huge amounts of semi frozen mango. Much better than icecream but still a lot of calories when you eat them as I can. :D So go easy.

I wish i had something to puke about because the puke fellow is so cute. Do you mind if i puke in your diary. :puke: Dr Shayne I'm sick. Please cure me. :biggrinjester:
 
I think I've had enough kids puking, sneezing and pooping on me at the ward lol. I'm in Pediatrics and dealing with children makes things a lot easier to cope with. I mean, it could be depressing seeing very sick kids sometimes but all-in-all they are easier patients than adults!

BTW, just came home from my kickboxing class at the gym. Still lots of fun! Remember me talking about quitting gym? I just learned that there are special memberships that only allow you entrance during weekends which is perfect cuz that's mostly the only free time I have! So, I'll inquire on Thursday and we'll see how it goes..
 
Hey Shayne, it sounds like you're doing great! Keep it up! Glad to hear that the shifts aren't as stressful anymore and that you're still enjoying the gym!
 
Had a VERY busy day at work last night and only had half an hour to sleep! Still feeling high on adrenaline but will probably crash soon.. Anyway, weekend memberships are ridiculously expensive! I'm thinking twice on getting it. If you can suggest a fun kickbox/tae-bo like workout I can get on DVD I'd really appreciate it.

I'm not sure I can post links here but maybe you can just type this up on YOUTUBE and see the workout I'm all crazy about at the moment :D

After 5mos. I feel like I'm falling off the wagon. Work out schedule's screwed up. Bad food days are increasing. Weight is stuck (not increasing YET thank God!). Had yet another huge fast food binge eating episode today. :( :( :(
 
Be gentle on yourself. Do what you can to keep on track, don't beat yourself up if you can't. You've got a lot working against you- some of that will pass, and I'm sure all of it will become easier to cope with.
 
I think I've gained 3lbs. OMG, this is it! Major sign I'm screwing up. My clothes feel tighter, I feel uglier, and I can't do anything to gain back control. I need help!
 
Shayne, you have made amazing progress and done some amazing work. Be proud of yourself. It took a lot of commitment. Try to recognize what triggers your eating habits and find a solution. You can do it. You CAN!
 
Work is awful at the moment. And so is my response! My body clock's all messed up. It feels like I go home just to sleep and wake up just to work! I'm not only missing my workouts, I'm eating bad foods as well. Plus, I can't find time to talk to my friends or my family (who lives in the same house btw) because I'm too tired to do anything else :(
 
Hey Shayne, no need to beat yourself up... your schedule is never going to be 100% consistent. Do the best you can right now, then when things ease up, you can get back on track!
 
It's been a while! I'm so sorry for not updating. Not a lot of good news anyway..:(

I've only lost 1lb since I last posted and it's not even because of exercise! I went into OB rotation and probably lost that single pound from all the hard work! I dunno why but I feel tired often and usually just sleep when I get home! I'm not working out as much as I used to, I'm not eating healthily, I'm just off the wagon all in all! *SIGHS* I have about 100days to my goal date and I still have 24lbs to go! Is it still possible?
 
five kilos in three months is a piece of cake. Yes i'm back. How are you apart from all this. Ok stupid question.

How's the job going? I suppose you haven't got too many months left before its all over. Just keep hanging in there becuaes it will probably all be worth it in the end. What a strong person you will be once you get there but for now, you are just getting stronger every day.

You only need to lose a quarter of a pound a day or a pound every four days.

Personally i think maybe this is not the best year for you to be trying to do this anyway. but if you insist, then maybe you need to work out some meal plans ahead of time. Adn make sure you've got tons of fruit and good stuff about. Failing that, just don't eat any bad food. If maybe you jsut quit the potato chips or stuff like that you'd be fine. Live your diet according to some very simple rules taht will actually help you reach your goal. (forget hte meal plans though in that case i guess.)

For me quitting sugar is the best and simplest strategy i have, though today i had some comfort eating i had to do.

Anyway hang in there one way or another the most important thing right now i think is staying alive and getting as much sleep and rest as you can. Just quit with the worrying about your weight and appearance. When you are in bed and about to sleep, just give yourself a few comforting words about how well you did today and a few nice kind words to yourself. YOu may feel less tired and less stressed if you can do something like this.
 
Hey Shayne, haven't heard from you in a while! How are things going? I agree with fortyfour about trying to have good foods on hand all the time lik fruits, etc. and also about just trying to cut out a few simple things like potato chips. It might be easier for you right now to just make a few small changes, instead of trying to overhaul your whole life!
