Taking the stairs to success!!

Thanks for the good advice - I have been making leftovers of our suppers and taking that for lunch the next day. That seems to work so far.

Not sure what it is but my computer and this site are no longer happy together. It takes forever to load and then runs so slow. It took me 20 minutes just to get here to post an update!

No weight or measurement change from last month - I am happy with that! Just working on maintaining for now until I get the juggling act together.

Atime is all of our enemy that's for sure....I find myself not getting on...just because I don't have time...I miss it here...but I jokingly say...you don't get skinny sitting on the couch reading the fat forum!! haha....hang in there you will find the balance....we all do eventually:) :) :)

Here are some quotes I found and rather like - to help keep me motivated!

If you don't like starting over - stop quitting.

If it's a priority, you will find a way. If it isn't, you will find an excuse.

Happiness is a choice.

AThanks for the the kind words! Love those quotes!! This is my most recent fave!

YOU CAN FEEL SORRY TOMORROW...

I actually love it so much...I think I may add it to my siggy! lol

Ugh! Had some set backs and frustration - a couple excuses and now it is time to get serious again. Current weight 190 lbs. :( Not very happy with finding that 10 lbs - but happy to know that I am capable of getting rid of it again. I am going to try and post more oftern - I found that really helpful for my first year on here (and llost 55 lbs, kept 45 off!)

Going back to re-read my posts, find what worked well and modify what didn't work so well. Hopefully I will keep you all posted so that I can keep myself accountable! Gotta update my ticker - sad! But, I will soon be changing it again!!

I managed to get out poling three times this week! It was fun - went on my lunch break. I think I will have to make a habit of that! Brought my lunch 3 times and bought lunch twice (just sandwiches). I have to get into the habit of making my lunch the night before and putting it in the fridge. I am finding that I don't have enough time in the morning to do it.

My water bottle and I have reunited and we are now back to being good friends! Things are looking good! Weigh in and measure day is the 15th of each month. I'm hoping to see a loss! (or at least not a gain - lol).

I have a 10K race scheduled for Sunday. I am so excited!!! I am running it with my 'running' friend. We are hoping to finish it in under 2 hours (need to set attainable goals - lol!). The training plan has been fun! My family is doing a 5K race in June - that will be awesome! I am so glad that they get to join me in a race! I need to remember to maintain my new fitness - that is what I forgot about after the Hawaii race. Sooo much easier to maintain it than to build it back up again!

ARace expo tomorrow to pick up race pack! I was going to make a shirt with something funny/motivational on the back but I can't think of anything good. Maybe 'if you can read this, I'm not last...yet!'

A10k in 1:40:33! It was slower than I hoped for but it was still awesome!!! I need to do more training on hills-they killed me! Next race is in 2 weeks (a 5k with the whole family). So excited for that one. We don't have a time to aim for. We just want to have fun.

Thanks Trusylver!

Unfortunately, I have a heel spur so my weightbearing training is on hold. I might be able to ride the bike for my cardio, but running and walking are off the table at least for the next little while.

So for now - my plan is to continue to eat healthier, strength train and recover.

I bought a copy of the current clean eating magazine and it has some yummy looking recipies that I think we will be trying soon! :)

AAre you doing any exercises to stretch out the bottom of your foot for the heel spurs ?

AI am doing the golf ball massage, towel gathering with toes, flexion and extension of toes and calf stretches. As well as icing it. I was also told a heel pad and arch support could help but I haven't been anywhere to check that out yet. I would love more suggestions. I really want this to get better and then prevent it from happening again.

Alooks like your doing everything you can short of surgery, heel pads etc can help especially if your not using good running shoes that match with your running style. Strapping can also take some of the stress off the foot in the short term while they heal.

Ayep means the same thing, I usually use the standard rigid tape when taping athletes for this, I am not sure how well the kinisio tape would work, I usually only use it on the larger muscles.
