Take Two....

Hope you are feeling better Florence
Thanks heaps Julie,
Feeling much better today actually.
Had a good chat with my siblings yesterday who all live in the UK; and just this morning my mother-in-law said she'd like to take the family on a trip to Noosa (in Aus) which is really exciting. Plus, loving the fact there is another reason to drop a little weight. :) I hope all is well with you also.

Good day today.
Did some step in the morning and then another class in the afternoon. It has made me more hungry but that's OK. Small steps. Will work on portion control better tomorrow.

Well done on a good day Florence. Your MIL sounds like a good one of them. Love your new avatar btw. It is really cheerful :D

Did well today.
I did some step in the morning and then I spent this afternoon cleaning the apartment so I feel that can double as exercise as well.
I have managed to snack a little better today. They were generally healthier. 2 pieces of fruit and 2 small tubs of yoghurt at different times through the day. Much better than the toast and spreed from the day before. :)

With you all the way Florence .Maria gave good advice.I do step aerobics on the bottom two steps of the stairs. I also go to aqua aerobics. Best laugh I've had in years.Hang in there. You can do it

Today was good progress.
My hubby has gone skiing for the weekend with his brother and I was a bit anxious at first with being home alone but I went to my back to basic's list and did different things this afternoon and managed not to majorly overeat. This is such progress for me and is great. I even did a step class which is an excellent bonus.

Feeling good. :)

Thanks Julie, you are absolutely right. :)

So the weekend wasn't my finest hour regarding weight loss. Hubby was away and that always makes me feel a little at lose ends as such. I did a really good job on not eating anywhere near what I would have in the past which was great. I did eat too much yoghurt and had a few too many savory biscuits. I did put on weight as well but on a whole I am pleased with the progress. In the past I would have made sure I had wine and cheeses and an icecream tub and various savory biscuits and dip. So putting all of that into account I did an excellent job.

Back on track today. Hubby is home and I had the best sleep which is always helpful. So while it will be hard to get back into my step class (sugar always makes me lethargic) I will do it and feel better for it.

On the weekend I also re-evaluated my weight loss plan. I was aiming for a weight I used to be in my early 20's and even back then the weight was hard to maintain because it was so low. I decided to re-evaluate because I saw a before and after photo of a semi-celebrity and the caption was about how she lost 10kg and felt fantastic. I was surprised in my reaction because I honestly thought she looked better before she lost the weight. She looked like a confident women. She was still slim at her heavier weight but also had the curves of a women as well. In the photo of her after her weight loss, she did look good but I felt like it was a women who was trying to look like she was in her 20's again. Then BAM! I suddenly realised that I actually wanted to look like a confident women and not aim for my 20's again where in truth I wasn't that confident and was skinny because I felt I had to be...anyway, that was my epiphany over the weekend.

So, new goal set of 60kg which is smack in the middle of my height/weight range (will then reevaluate after I have reach the goal) and my first goal is 83kg by Christmas (83 because that's just how the calculations worked out:)

I will also check in here each evening to report on the progress and touch base with you all. Nothing like the community to keep you going. All your personal progress is such inspiration in itself.

Till this evening have a great day/night :)

What a wonderful epiphany Florence. I have a photo of me when I got really skinny & if I am ever tempted to go below a certain weight I will fish out that photo. Slim & confident sounds like something really good to aim for. Good for you xoxo

Thanks Cate :)

I have been doing well over the last few days. I have been pretty busy so this is just a quick check in to keep my diary going but overall going well and I can feel summer coming which is very exciting. Love the warmer weather. :)
Will try and catch up on everyone's diaries in a few days when the business calms down.

Good job, Florence! I get the same way anytime my wife leaves for more than a day. I start eating and sleeping at weird hours, like I forget "how to adult". :p

So I am going away this weekend with my hubby and a bunch of his friends. I am nervous. I am concerned that I will begin to feel uncomfortable and my fall back will be going to food. Even tonight I have had stronger cravings than normal.
I am trying to put a plan in place before the weekend so I can be a little more prepared if I feel out of my depth. I am also making sure I take magazines and a book to read if I get board. That will help I think. Hubby and I are also going to go antique browsing so hopefully that takes up quite a bit of time on Saturday.
Have been doing well these last few days. Didn't lose any weight yesterday and was disappointed but I reminded myself it was a weekly weigh-in that is the biggest deal.
Hope all have a good weekend. :)

So I am back and half way through this week. It has taken a while for me to get back into the swing of things since the weekend.
The weekend was OK overall. It was a bit tough when you feel you're getting pulled 5 different ways. In some regards it felt like being back at high school dealing with peer pressure.
So, back to basics again today and moving forward. Plus I just counted out there are 15 weeks (give a few days) till Summer starts so that's a nice round number for a goal to work.
Have a great day/evening everyone.
