Swimming?

I have a question. How good is swimming for developing muscle. It seems it wouldn't do much for size, but would help define and shape them. Am I right in thinking this?

If I am, what's a good routine? Such as, how many days a week, what kinds of strokes, how long, etc.
 
You're right, but not for the reasons you think make them right. The way swimming helps define and shape you is by cutting fat. The less fat you have, the more defined you look.

Yes, swimming is a great cardio exercise. Try butterfly and freestyle. Remember to push yourself. If you're just starting out, it would be ideal to get the strokes down and push yourself hard. That's all you really need.

But remember, you should aslo keep a clean diet if you want to loose fat. Believe me, I've seen TONS of fat swimmers.
