Swimming and Supplements

Hi Guys,

New on here so be gentle please :O)

I am ex-military and no stranger to the gym. However, I am seriously getting bored of throwing weights around the gym and I have recently got into doing a lot of swimming. Just a quick question. If I was to incorporate a "sprint" swimming session with a weight gaining supplement such as Atlas or Mammoth, would this be beneficial for both mass and endurance??

Any advice from you guys would be appreciated.

Cheers!!:newbie:

I am somebody who does both lifting and swimming for a competition I do every two years. Part of the comp is upper body strength and endurance, part of it is running - both a 5k and a 100m sprint, and then added in is a 100m swim.

I do all intervals in the pool, and for my run. For lifting I just do powerlifting style work.

How I develop endurance in the pool is by doing 'sprints' in the pool, with a pre determined amount of rest in between. I then slowly begin to decrease the rest intervals over time to build my endurance. It worked for me.

Food for thought.

Thats great...thanks for the advice! I really fancy leaving the weights alone for a short while, and apart from surfing, swimming is the only real exercise that interests me. Besides, maybe the swimming will help me in the surf line-up! :OP

Thanks once again!
