SweatPea is going to sweat it all off...

My weigh-in at work was 166.5 (with clothes on.) She said I'd lost 2 lbs since last week. I think her scale is whacked! Cause I know I didn't lose 2 lbs. But I'll take it for that challenge, because I get the $$ in the end if I win. :D

Just got done doing the self-challenge strength workout (well about 40 min. ago I got done!) It lasted about 25 min. The ABC leg workout was tough!!! I could only do two reps of the whole alphabet.

Then, I added my own strength training - squats, abs, biceps, triceps, etc. for another 10 min. So my total exercise for today is 35 min.
My cals are at a low 1600 range. Not that that's good - that's the max. I want to get to right now.

Yesterday was not a good day foodwise and no exercise. However, this morning my weight was the same (166.)

I did get in my cabbage detour today with a healthy meal of cabbage stir fry, egg rolls, and hot and sour cabbage soup. My family enjoyed all of it too. Of course now I'm paying the price of eating all the cabbage at once - as my tummy is rumblie. :D

Off to get in my exercise. I'm going to get on the elliptical and then the treadmill to get in some good long min.

:driving:

Thanks so much for stopping by and visiting in my little world. Please come back soon.

I didn't do so great yesterday myself..food sucked major pepperonis and my exercise, well it was nonexistant. Hubby and I haven't been going to bed until extremely late because he's been working on my laptop and such, so it's been crazy with getting up early and going to bed so late.

Also drove 2 hours to see a friend from high school at her baby shower and to have dinner only to discover that she was too exhausted for dinner after the shower. Guess that sorta thing happens when you are 8 months preggo. Oh well, maybe after the baby comes.

Kinda trying to figure out if I'll even list my horrible list of foods from yesterday. SIGh. hehe

:waving: Hi Photocrazed, thanks for stopping by! I've read your food journal and you do super. I don't think one day of eating off the plan will hurt - in fact I've read it helps to give your body a "jolt" once in awhile.

Just got done with my exercise.

Here are my stats:

Elliptical:

33 min., 2.69 miles, 331 cals, 4286 strides

Treadmill:

40 min., 2.05 miles, 206 cals.

My food is doing good today. Cabbage doesn't add up to much in the calorie dept. but it sure feels your tummy up. :D

Hey girl~
Your putting me to shame with all that working out! LOL
Of course I don't do any working out on the weekends so have to try and catch up Mon-Thursday.
Way to go with the 2 pounds down. That is Awesome. At the current rate you are going I will never be able to catch you.
Keep it up!

Awe shucks! You're too sweet. :) I'm sure you're beautiful too - I just never get to see you. :)

Bell and I do make a great pair - ask anyone who knows in real life. Ha! Sometimes we say we were lost sisters. ;)

Well Bell, you will catch me, you're already looking so sexy anymore! Especially with that bow-tie. :p JK!! I loved it. Dh thought it looked cute too. ;)

I just got done with a 40 min. toning workout - on my own, but I still made it so I could feel it. I did squats, lunges, biceps, triceps, leg lifts, some pilates, etc. I just kept going until I couldn't think of anything else to do. :D My arms are feeling tight right now, so I know I did good.

Sounds like you did a good job working out! Kellie really worked us over hard today. Today was her b-day and I think she was trying to prove something to herself. You would never, ever guess by looking at her that she was 37.
And as for the "bow tie" you need to go get one and we can both wear them together.
That ought to float Dh's boat!
Tell Jman that I said thanks. I wasn't to sure about it. I even asked the employee at the store what she thought before I bought it. I guess 9 outta 10 people ain't bad. To bad the 1 was my own hubby......hahaha :biggrinjester:

Newbie too...

I'm new to the site and also new to trying to get fit, healthy & lose those extra pounds that I've let accumulate!

I'm a busy mom of 4 kids, all under 8 and especially since the last 2 arrived, have neglected myself.

I'm determined to change that and have joined a gym and am trying to be careful of what and how much I am eating and am trying to load up on the water (< 32ounces/day)

I'm 5'3, and currently weight 156lbs. Would like to get to about 125-130lbs.

I've been going to the gym for a week now and intend to go 6 days, with 1 "day off". I do 30 minutes of cardio by combining walk/run about 50/50. I also do a full weight workout on alternate days which takes about an 45 minutes to an hour and do AB workout on other days.

My frustration now is that even though I've been completely dedicated and work my buns off, I've not lost one single pound!!!

I thought joining the group might give me some helpful hints and keep me motivated. Plus, I love hearing of other people's successes!!

SweatPea- So sorry I have not visited you here in almost a week, but I see you're kicking butt with the exercise!! Leaving town for the weekend really messed up all the planning I do for the week so I'm hoping my sorry butt doesn't get us kicked out of the challege already:(

Hi and welcome! What helped me around here was to start a diary/journal and to join a challenge or two. It sounds like we are at about the same weight and height range. I've only set my goal for 145 right now. If and when I get there, I will re-evaluate it.

Have you worked out that much before? It seems like a lot to just start out with, but at least you have a plan.

I'm sure that won't happen. Between Angel and I, I think we're covered on the exercise. But make sure you get in something during the week! Because I'm not sure how the stats would work out if it were just Angel and I doing it (I know she is way ahead of me in the numbers dept.)

I've been sore all day from yesterday's workout. I was sort of worried that I wasn't doing enough on my own, well I didn't need to worry at all.

Today I'm going to get in some cardio. The sun is shining, but it is still very cold. I don't think it got up to 40 like it was supposed to. So, I will be downstairs on my treadmill and elliptical after supper.

Tonight's exercise:

45 min. on the elliptical - 3.48 miles, 414 cals, 6684 strides

+

39 min. on the treadmill - 2.32 miles, 222 cals (I wasn't going at any super speed, just around 3.5 to 3.8.)

+

5 min. crunches and some yoga (downward dog and the cobra.)

So total for today = 89 min.

Total for challenge = 241 min. (4 hrs + 1 min.)
