SweatPea is going to sweat it all off...

Good job with the exercise today! I often come home, sit down, watch tv, surf the net, and it turns into several hours b/f I work out (or I don't). I need your discipline!

Anyway, I was browsing your diary and saw your pics from the party the other night....you are absolutely gorgeous....as is that dress!

Awe, thanks! I'm not nearly as disciplined as I should be though. I think last week I got maybe 2 days of exercise in. I just wasn't in the mood. I think a lot of it has to do with the weather. Spring can't come soon enough.

You two are adorable! & I am still loving that dress!

Good for you in getting moving before the excuses kick in. I followed your way of thinking & didn't even sit down. As soon as I got home & changed clothes & got moving. I know if I logged on before, it wouldn't have happened.

Thanks MG! I have to get dinner started before I do much of anything else or I would have a bunch of grumpy butts. Of course they have been known to make their own meals when I haven't felt like it. :D

I get to have a lazy day today since we are having so much snow. I got the day off from school. :cheers2: I don't like the snow, but if it's going to snow it might as well cancel school for us. It's just that with this school they didn't schedule any breaks in between Christmas and Spring Break so that the end of the school year can come sooner. However, I think they have found that it is draining (as the school is 8 yrs old.) And, next year, they are scheduling a few more breaks throughout the year (just a day or so off here and there.)

I guess I'd better get around. Dh is wanting to go out in the snow! He's got errands to run and I guess he's determined. I don't know that I want to go with him though. But he said we would stop at the floor shop to discuss what we want done with the kitchen and get estimates (and I'm all for finishing up that since I don't have to do anything - unlike staining the windows...:willy_nilly:)

Today is Thursday already that means Friday is just around the corner!

So far this week I have worked out everyday since Mon. I'm glad I haven't failed myself two weeks in a row.

I do need to go workout for tonight, but I've got a date with the elliptical and Law & Order (on the tivo.) So I'm set for tonight.

Last night I didn't feel like doing anything, but I did my own workout for 30 min. I did abs, squats, walking lunges, and then practiced martial arts kicks (to see if I still "have it.") Well that went pretty good. And my legs are a bit sore today, so I know I did something right. My abs hurt a little as well. But tonight I'm going to go downstairs and get on the elliptical. Hopefully it will also help me sleep as last night (or early this morning) I woke up at 4:30 a.m. and couldn't get back to sleep. Of course I had way too much caffeine and dh is out of town until Sat.

I did stay up late and read, I thought that would keep me asleep for the whole night. But I think I made the room too warm w/ the electric heater. :D Even the dog kept stirring. :smilielol5: So at 4:30 I got up and turned it off and that's when I couldn't get back to sleep.

Well off to burn some cals.

Way to go for working out all week! I so wish I lived in a house where my elliptical was right in front of my tivo. I generally go to the gym in my apartment where there's ONE TV and you basically fight to watch what you want....plus I'm sometimes embarassed to watch some of my "dumb" shows :). Anyway, great job this week!

Howdy Ty for stopping by my diary, means alot also you are doing
great!! Hope your weekend is a good 1 Tammy

Hey girl!
You are so putting me to shame this week.
I haven't worked out even once. My shoulder has been aching alot.
Could be the weather or I could have just been overdoing it. So I took this week off from the gym.
But next week I will be back in it like always.
Keep at it. I 'll see ya on Sunday!

Thanks! Yeah I wouldn't want to watch "my shows" in front of others either. You never know what they might be thinking.

You should've called me we could've done something! I know my shoulder aches once in awhile as well especially when it comes to weights (and manually shifting a car.) I got my "injuries" during martial arts. But I guess that means we are getting old (especially since we are comparing injuries)? LOL

Worked out everyday this week?!?!?!? WOW. You should be proud!! I've been trying to meet new people all the forum... and everyone is just doing so damn well!!! Congrats!!

Today was a good one as far as work went. Even though every freakin' school around us had a delay and we did not! :ack2: But, it went well. Went sledding with the kiddos. I know I burned some cals with that and of course I need to go work out tonight as well.

My cals are low. Right now just a little under 800. But I was keeping them low at least for breakfast (protein bar) because I was having pizza for lunch.

A cute thing about lunch though... we got pizza, celery sticks, and a clementine (if you ordered "hot lunch".) This little girl who totally loves clementines really wanted one. But there was only one left over and it didn't look too good, plus when I peeled it, I could tell it wasn't good. Anyway, she had brought her lunch. She eats very well (compared to a lot of us!) She had cut up cucumbers and tomatoes, a pb&j sandwich (those pre-made ones), and blueberries w/ grapes. She was very upset that the leftover one was icky. And had a really sad face. I looked at her plate and she didn't have any fruit on it at all.

I asked her if she brought fruit (because she always does.) And she said yes, but it was grapes and blueberries and she wanted a clementine. So, I said, "how about we trade?" Which we normally don't allow, but since it was fruit for fruit it was ok. And I love, love, love blueberries - especially fresh ones. So I made out like a bandit and so did she. :D

Sometimes it's just so easy to make a kid's day. :coolgleamA:

Forgot to add that my weight is the same this week as it was last. Except that at the office weigh-in it was down 1.5 lbs! Last weeks weigh-in was at 170 and this weeks was at 168.5. So according to the office challenge, I have lost 2.5 lbs this last month.

One of my colleagues has commented too - but of course I think it was the clothes I was wearing today. ;)

Hey there SweatPea. i haven't read most of your diary. thought i'd do a quick visit to say hi! but i will be back later.

Thanks for stopping by A-N-G-E-L!

Yesterday was a long day. Dh and I went to a home and garden show. That thing was packed with people! It makes you wonder if they just all decided to get out and go because the weather had cleared up quite a bit?

Anyway, we walked around there for about 2 hrs. Then went to Outback. We did well with our choices - I mean I know we went over on cals, but for the most part we balanced things out. We had an appetizer of the coconut shrimp, then had a grilled chicken salad, and shared dessert.

Yeah we could've done better by skipping the appetizer and dessert, but we had a gift certificate and just wanted to get rid of it. You would not believe how much dressing they serve with the salad. Thank goodness it was on the side. It was easily a cup of dressing. I just drizzled some on my salad. Dh commented, that they had to serve you that much dressing to make up for the cost of an $11 salad. :biggrinjester:

Then we went grocery shopping for almost 2 hrs! Our fridge was very bare and we cleaned out the deep freezer nearly to the bottom. So it was time to stock back up.

We did stock up on a lot of good stuff - I found some recipes I want to make so made my shopping list from the items in those recipes. Then of course forgot the shopping list in the car! I did however remember everything except for about 3 items.

We got home around 9:30 and and stayed up late. So we had a late start to our morning. I had a pampered chef party to go to, so got in my exercise after breakfast (and a little internet surfing.) Did 40 min. on the elliptical - burned 350.7 cals and went 3 miles.

I'm not feeling so well at the moment though - either it's from being tired or something I ate today didn't agree with me. They did make a really delicious veggie pizza at the party. But I only had one little slice of that - so I'm not sure what's going on.

glad you had fun! once in a while is cool especially when you have a gift voucher to get rid of hehe! its crazy about the dressing though i think Dh is right about them having to make it worth the price.

Hey girly~
Missed you at church this morning.
Figured someone was most likely sick at your house and it would appear that it was probably you. If your post from yesterday is any indication.
Was the garden show down at the Fort? Was it any good? And most importantly did you remember to wear your Master Gardner badge so that you could get in free?
Hope that you are feeling better. I'll call you sometime tomorrow/today.
Ciao

Hey Sweatpea... just stopping in to check out a new teammates diary. So much catching up to do when you don't read right from the start. The dress you bought a few weeks ago is absolutely stunning. And I'm glad to see that your office is doing a biggest loser. My office at work has five people total. The accountant is the only other woman and she's been doing quite well on Weight Watcher's for the last year... so no one in the office brings in tons of junk food or eats too unhealthily. Keeps me on track cause I know I'd go with the herd if I was given the excuse! Hopefully we'll pick a team name soon and then we'll be good to go. Hope Monday is treating you right!

Actually, we skipped cause we got up too late and then I was going to a friend's pampered chef party (from work), that if I went to "late" church, I wouldn't have had time to come home first.
Didn't think about driving separately!

Yes we went to the Fort. And yes I did wear my badge, at least to get thru the door. The funny thing was was that they had me go thru the "vendor" entrance - but wouldn't let dh come thru - so he had to go 2 doors down to get in. He thought the guy was joking at first, but nope, I don't think the guy had much of a sense of humor.
