SweatPea is going to sweat it all off...

Hey Sweatpea!

I can understand your disappointment. I myself have been struggling for many weeks. I'm gonna repeat advise I have in the past to you, and also to myself-keep pushing thru! Don't let the foul mood win. Pick yourself up by your boot straps and keep on a chuggin!

Hi all!

I'm sorry I haven't been around, it's just been super busy lately.

Yarmiah - Guess what? I actually got back down to 167 and then to 166! In fact last week at my weigh-in for our "biggest loser" contest at work - I weighed in with clothes on at 174. :( But this Friday it was 167.5!!! That's with clothes on! I think maybe it was the pms w/ a little too much sodium thrown in? Who knows. I'm just happy it's back down.

MG - Thanks for stopping by! I didn't really do anything for vday, but my ds and I ended up at the mall and I got me some nice shoes to go with my dress!

Blancita - Thanks for stopping by! I did find a nice dress. I actually got it at dressbarn. Which I had never shopped at before. But they have some nice clothes there - not just dresses, but real clothes for real ladies. :)

Hajni - I'm here! Just been a busy week or so. I haven't done so well with exercise this week either. But at least my weight is back down. I do allow myself a treat now and then and I love ice cream! Not the sugar free or low cal (which the low cal is much better than sf), but the full fledged stuff. I just make sure to measure it out and stick to my "serving".

So to update - my weight is back down! I don't know what was going on last week, but I guess that cheesecake just wanted to hang on. The other day when I weighed in, it actually said 166. The best news is that in my biggest loser challenge at work I've lost 3.5 lbs since beginning. The lady keeping track of everything was so excited for me, cause I think last week at weigh-in I almost cried. I think that's why I would never be able to do public weigh-ins like at Weight Watchers or something like that.

I did get a dress and will post a pic (I had to take one for my sister to see.) Granted I think it looks much better on than it does just hanging there. I had to get it altered so that the straps fit better. But I went with a practical dress so that it fits the "cocktail" attire requirement, plus if I'm feeling frilly one day I could wear it to church or some other place for a nice dinner out.

Thurs. ds and I ended up at the mall. I got my hair trimmed and then got some shoes to go with the dress. I love the shoes! They are like the mary-jane style, but with heels and they are like a deep red (wine colored.) My dress is creamy white with black flowers throughout. The shoes don't "match" as far as being black or white, but they will definitely look great with the dress.

The coolest thing is is that I found the seamstress through our church's benefit for our minister's wife. I bid on a gift certificate but didn't win it. So I decided to call her anyway. I went in to the store Fri. and found it it's actually someone I know from church!

I did win a 3 mo. Y membership. Of course my dh doesn't think I'll have time for it. But I'll show him. ;) I do have to exercise sometime, so might as well try out the Y while I can.

Well I've got to make some exercise plans up because this week it just fell through. 2 days my dh had a co-worker over and with it being so cold I didn't want to go to the basement to exercise - that meant no video either - because I wasn't going to exercise in front of someone other than my family. Well then my oldest ds ended up with strep. I came home from work and he was lying on the couch with his coat on - he had gotten home about 40 min. before I did! So I contemplated waiting until the next day or taking him to our local redi-care. So I took him (through a snowstorm) that evening. The next evening was my trip to the mall. Ds and I did a lot of fast walking and we sweated because we were wearing our winter coats! So hopefully that counts. ;) And Friday, I just didn't feel like doing much of anything - winter blues and such. So all-in-all I think I exercised only twice this past week and thats counting Sun.

I am so ready for winter to be done with.

Gratz on your loss!

As for as the dress goes, I think it looks pretty. Besides what matters most is how YOU like it, and how YOU feel in it. Go with what you feel when you look at yourself in the mirror!

Hey there!
What fun it was to get together! Thanks for opening my eyes to the fact that I am a petite sized girl. I would NEVER have thought I was.
Also thanks for poking and prodding me to try on things that I thought would never look good.
Having been tubby for so long I guess I have a whacked out view of how things would look.
Your the bestest best friend ever!!!
:biggrinjester:

HI SweatPea,

Congrats on your lbs lost!! Way to go !
I like the dress too, I think it is pretty. Personally I prefer the look with the black shawl over it!!
Either way you will look awesome I am sure!!!
Hajni

Hi all!

Well I haven't been too good about coming in here. Of course maybe that's cause I've been sliding on the exercise? :dupe:

I did exercise last night the hard-core aerobic video. But tonight ds had a band concert I took him to and so I didn't get home until an hour ago and this is my wind down time.

However, my weight is still down. So that's a good thing.

I am planning to exercise the rest of the week, no excuses!

Off to do some catch-up.

The dress is lovely! When is the function where you'll be wearing it?

That is sad about S sitting there with his coat on for a whole 40 minutes. Is the strep gone yet? Lucky you had that checked out at the Dr right away.

Well that was a busy week, but I agree, time [for both of us] to get back to exercising regularly!

That dress is lovely!
& so cute that the hubby bought you shoes for valentines day to go with it.

Nice work on the weight loss & I know you will get those exercises in for the rest of the week. Have fun with it! :)

The function is this Saturday. I still have to go pick up my dress...

Ds is over strep, he's still taking his antibiotics, but that's only because he missed a few here and there.

Thanks MG! I actually bought my own shoes on Vday; however, dh did buy me a miniature rose in a lovely planter. I just hope I can keep it alive.

This morning I weighed in the same as my ticker, so I'm hoping to show a loss tomorrow. However, my cals are a little on the high side today (1700.) So much so that I decided not to make cookies for our in-service meeting tomorrow. Because I know I would be eating them along side the baking.

I didn't exercise again today....:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I was just so tired when I came in this evening. It just seems like I'm full of excuses.

I wish I worked a little later, then I could get up and workout before leaving the house. Of course I could do that now, but I'm so not a morning person (especially in the winter.) I have a 30 min. drive too.

I read in all these magazines "plans" for squeezing in workout time. The schedules they show always have like a 7:30 workout time. I wonder what time they think people actually go to work??

Well off to drink my water, at least that's one thing I can do for myself.

Although I haven't worked out but one day this week, somehow my weight is still climbing down. Which for me is a miracle. Usually I don't lose weight unless I'm working out like superwoman or hardly eating anything.

I'm trying to keep my cals. 1600 or below. And so far that seems to be working.

I picked up my dress and tomorrow is the "event". So I'll have to figure out how I'm going to do my hair. Polish my nails. And then just relax...ha!

Going to go workout now ... (yeah you heard right!)

Oops forgot to say that I stepped on the scale and am down a 1/2 lb from last weeks weigh-in. On the scale at the office, I was down a whole pound from last weeks weigh-in - go figure.
So that makes me 1/2 a pound from my mini-goal. :D

Woohoo!!! Way to go girlie!!!
Your just hitting your stride~

Awwww! You guys look sooo cute together!
Glad you had a fun time at your little "get together". LOL
And it was nice to have lunch with you guys yesterday.
Catch ya later.

Hey guess what? I actually exercised today! LOL

I did it right after supper so I wouldn't have any excuses (like sitting on my butt and surfing the internet.) I think I need to do more toning and strength training, but I so do not want to go to the basement until it warms up a bit (which doesn't look like it's coming anytime soon since we have a major storm warning starting tonight into tomorrow.)

Thanks Bell!

You two are adorable! & I am still loving that dress!

Good for you in getting moving before the excuses kick in. I followed your way of thinking & didn't even sit down. As soon as I got home & changed clothes & got moving. I know if I logged on before, it wouldn't have happened.

:)
